Parque Nacional Puyehue

We made different short walks in the Anticura section of the park, from 30 min. to 1,5 hour, and they were all lovely and easy. Nice views and a lot of falls. Little people, so very quiet. Friendly resto with good food at the Centro Turistico Anticura.

Auto Museum Moncopulli

Our group was traveling on Route 215 from Puerto Varas toward Bariloche, Argentina when we stopped at this auto museum. Rock music from the 50s and 60s is playing as you are amazed by the collection of antique cars (at least 70 or 80), including dozens of Studebakers, that fill multiple large display rooms that go on and on. We especially liked the three-wheeled BMW, an Avanti and an original Mini. I wonder if Jay Leno knows about this place. A really pleasant surprise in our trip over the Andes.

Antillanca Ski Center

Reviewed By Pierre W - Brussels, Belgium

There is a dirt road to Antillanca, busses go to Aguas Calientes then you can hitchhike (there is also a allday trail). Antillanca is at the tree line, so you can start hiking further up to the Casablanca summit or just on the volcanic terrain all around. Views of Osorno, Puntiagudo, Tronador. A 2 day traverse to Pampa Frutilla and Anticura is possible after snowmelt on the 1900 meter ridge. Also a oneday hike down in the forest to Los Gaviotas on Lake Rupanco, which has accomodation and transport back to Osorno.

Paso Fronterizo Internacional Cardenal Antonio Samore
