40 minutes and 37 km drive to the west of Teruel, Albarracin is a fantastic village to see. If you only have the option of going there or Teruel, then I would suggest Albarracin. Whether you have 5 minutes or a few hours, it's worth seeing.
Lots of lovely paths to walk up to get various vantage points from which to admire this incredibly beautiful and unusual place.

Nos ha encantado. Museo sobre la mineria en una mina real, ya cerrada.
Bajas a más de 90 metros de profundidad y te formas una idea muy aproximada de lo que era y es la vida en la mina.
A los niños les encantó.
Hay que destacar la ilusión que le ponen los guias de las visitas, parte fundamental para que la cosa sea tan interesante.
Visita, diría que obligada si estás por la zona... incluso si estás un poco más lejos y te das un saltito hasta allí.

Over seven centuries after being built in the early XIVth century, the Tower of El Salvador still leaves us speechless. As it was the last tower in Teruel to be erected, it is among the esteemed landmarks that have been inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1986. The Tower actually consists of two towers, one inside the other. The Almohade model was indeed kept in mind; the architects and builders were Mudéjars, who were Muslims employed by the Christians at the time From outside, we can enjoy the brick and ceramic calligraphies as well as the street at its feet, as if intending not to disturb. Inside, 122 steps lead us to three rooms whose mortar plastered walls keep charming graffiti from the time of its erection; and we keep spinning upstairs like dancing Dervishes up to the bellfry. Once there, we lean out, take our time to feel the air, listen to the whisper and watch the Sunshine on the glazed ceramics, the urban tapestry of Teruel, ''The City of Towers.''

This is one of the numerous towers designed to defend the city in times past. For a small charge the ascent of the tower offers a good deal of historical information, exercise and ultimately terrific views of the old town and the surrounding countryside. An excellent example of the 'Mudejar' (Moorish?) architecture for which Teruel is famous.

We were passing by Teruel and read about this castle, so we decided to visit it. It is a remote location, so reaching it by car was truly an adventure. The road has several ruins and some spectacular rock formations. We were amazdd once we arrived at the castle, since it is an amazing structure and provides for great pictures! Really worth the visit!

This is one beautiful town that you will never forget! In fact, I'm planning on moving back here in the summertime when I retire. It is so freaking gorgeous that you can't believe you're in such a place. Has beautiful walls built in the time of the muscle of the mountain. This is an incredible town things hanging on the cliff that you just can imagine.

We went here to see the prehistoric cave paintings. We saw a few and although it is amazing that these things exist at all, the ones we saw were very indistinct and difficult to see, understandable given the fact of their age and the exposure to the elements but if you are expecting clear, dynamic paintings, you may be disappointed. (We didn't visit all the paintings so there may have been more visible ones that we missed) that having been said the landscape is incredible. Pine forest with gigantic boulder like formations throughout, it really has to be seen to be believed. There were a number of groups of boulder climbers (boulderers, I believe they are called) practicing their 'sport' which was very strange but interesting to watch and we took a loop walk which led to a great outlook point over the plains to the east (?) I felt more connected to the prehistory of the place through this bizarre landscape than through the paintings, though it added to the interest of the place to imagine it crawling with prehistoric cave dwellers. The 'park' was well equipped with good paths. There were ramps to all the cave paintings we saw. (seemed surprisingly wheel chair friendly though the paths are fine gravel and not paved they were quite firm underfoot) There was an official area for picnics with bathroom facilities (we didn't use these) and you are free to clamber around the boulders at your own risk.

We took the your of Albarracin which was wonderful. The Fundacion works hard to maintain and promote the beauty that is Albarracin. This tour allows access to the Cathedral which is under renovation and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. We highly recommend this tour, however, from what we saw, it is only in Spanish.

These beautiful walls run up the top of the mountain range above the beautiful city that you will never forget. I personally will never ever see the town is beautiful best. One of the best towns in Spain. Make sure you visit and make sure you hike up the walls. Just wondering the early-morning is the lights coming over the mountain and you will feel like you were in heaven.

Certainly the most photogenic town in Spain. A real, still livable community today. What a blessing to have been here. Stroll the streets, examine the architecture, appreciate the craftsmanship as you wind down the narrow cobblestone alleys. Need a break? There is a very lovely riverside park below the town -near the road tunnel. Nice places to eat and shop in town- and a tourist info center in town.
