A really must do. Road is narrow with lots of curves and with very nice views on the Garda lake. It is a one way street (as of this year from 10 am till 17 pm) when you climb, so normally you cannot have oncoming cars. (otherwise there are traffic lights). To get back you simply follow in the little village of Pieve at the round about the indications for Voltin, Vesio, follow that road untill you see a sign Limone to the right. So you will get back on the road around the lake.

We visited Onepio to do the gold wine tasting which was excellent and great value for money. Most importantly we tasted a number of great wines - we were allowed to pick which ones we wanted to taste from a selection so it can be tailored to personal preferences. We had some lovely local cheeses and other snacks to accompany also. Our hostess was really knowledgable taking us through each wine and how its grown and produced. She struck a great balance between talking to us and giving us time to just enjoy the wine. We stayed for a drink after in the sunshine and ordered a few bottles to be sent home also. Very glad we visited.

Parco Nazionale delle Incisioni Rupestri

The Naquane National Park of Rock Engravings in Capo di Ponte was the first park established in Camonica Valley in 1955. The area extends over 14 hectares of rock art land, a most important section belonging in Camonica Valley's World Heritage UNESCO site n. 94. In this park, in a magnificently wooded environment, one can admire as many as 104 engraved rocks, endowed with information panels, divided into 5 easy-to-walk routes for about 3 km. The entire tour of all paths takes at least 4 hours.

Wonderful park, where you enjoy your walking and at the same time you discover step by step the magnificent rock drawings. It is very impressive since these drawings are original, and not just a reproduction like, for example, those in Montignac (France). in Capo di Ponte there is also an interesting museum. To come here, you drive in the Val Camonica, and the whole journey along the mountains and the Lake Iseo is a landscape of rare beauty.

Rocca d'Anfo

Rocca d'Anfo is a fortified military complex built in XV century by the Venetian Republic in the town of Anfo on Lake Idro. The agglomerate, made up of military construction, is distributed in a triangular strip of land (50ha). One side is roughly 1 kilometer of the shore of the lake, the rest is spread on the eastern slope of Mount Censo, almost to its peak, with a difference in elevation which varies from 371 m s.l.m. at the side to the 1050m s.l.m. at the summit of the mountain. The Rocca d'Anfo was renovated and enlarged in different periods by the military engineers of Napoleon Bonaparte, Giuseppe Zanardelli and the Italian Army Corps. It lost its strategic value in 1918, when the Trentino finally passed to the Kingdom of Italy. Used by the Italian Army as a barracks for the training of conscripts, the complex was also used as gunpowder and weapons depot. It was decommissioned in 1975, but it remained bound to the Ministry of Defence until 1992.
