This is a culinary experience that I would recommend to all foodies. All the dishes are presented in a very elegant way and are all delicious. The tagliolini neri con gamberi, vongole e salicornia are out of this world and the scallops are so light they just melt in your mouth. The lamb and partridge are cooked to perfection and the desserts are a delight to look at and an even greater delight to taste. Coffee is served with delicious delicacies. The service is friendly but discreet and I must say we were pleasantly surprised by the prices of this one star restaurant which in my opinion certainly deserves the second star. I shall, without a doubt, be returning to this gem of a restaurant.

Beautifully situated lake side food paradise, offering brilliant dishes, very creative compositions. Take the shrimp tartare, and ravioli with king crab, the pata negra dish and try the saddled sea bass, unique Italian deep water fish. Wine list impressive, good value for money. Staff very knowledgeable and committed. Amazing ratio of 20 staff for 35 couverts. This restaurant is fully booked the summer for dinner, we were lucky to book for lunch. Really a must go place, going for a second Michelin star no doubt!

Pranzo effettuato in occasione di una cerimonia.
Ottima selezione di antipasti di vario tipo, dai salumi alle verdurine fritte, dal gnocco fritto al passato di verdure, ecc.
Da segnalare poi il risotto mantecato (credo con una riduzione di vino) e la tagliata di carne patanegra, entrambi i piatti veramente molto ben fatti e con materia prima selezionata.
Casonceli nella media, non memorabili.
Vini degni del posto, sopratutto il Garda Rosso.
Servizio veloce e professionale.

Some Michelin restaurants just stand out compared to others, and this was one of them!
From the moment we were welcomed into the serene interior; our experience felt personalised.
I was reassured that my allergies would not be an issue and once I had made my selection we could discuss how to change the items to handle my allergies. We selected a tasting menu which was an ideal size for lunch. The sommelier matched our food to franciacorta at our request.
Our meal was a feast of beautiful tastes and textures. I adored the prawns on purple potatoes and my wild mushroom pasta parcels were a delicious burst of flavour in my mouth. My husband said his beef was complete perfection.
Service was discreet, friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend coming here, and I definitely hope to return.

Al gambero is a well hidden treasure in the lovely little town Calvisano. Highly recommended by our last busnissappointment we went with big expactations and the advice to try the outstanding risotto and local caviar. Upon arriving you feel yourself in a warm bath of hospitality and serenity. Starting of with a delicate gewurztraminer, ( and a very fashionable waiter by the way....) combined with a creative and tastefull amuse. Helped by the lovely waiter we choose the specialty stockfisch, caviar and potatocream followed by a marvelous Ham with pearmoutarde. Meanwhile we were excellently served by the "très charming" personal waiter ( did we mention yet we suspect him to be a armani model ) uhmmm, oeps back to the food. We had a risotto with creamcheese and asparagus wich swept us of our feet. Literally. Or was it the waiter? We're blessed with a healthy appetite however the tsunami of heavenly dolce as an encore... how shall I put it, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. And then there were all these other visual distractions. Anyway, we're looking forward to our next businesstrip and we will be sure to reserve our special table at Al Gambero. The restaurant sits in a nice romantic place. Quality of food is very good, but
1 a menu is not offered, you can choose only à la carte
2 choosing à la carte does not allow you to choose every dish: a minimum of two person is mandatory for primi piatti and highly recommended for main dishes
3 prices very high: € 8,5 for starters and € 16 for a meat dish
4 portions are risible (!)
5 service is rude

This was for sure one of the best meals ever in Italy or wherever.
Just ask for the degustation menu (Sea or Land) and be happy.
This is one of the meals you would pay hundreds of dollars if you were in NY or Paris. However, here we only paid 50 euros per person.
Unbelievable!!!! Just stop by and be amazed.

We had a wonderful lunch seated on the Terrace overlooking Lake Garda. The food was delicious with the highlight dish that they heavily promote being cacio y pepe pasta that is cooked in a pig bladder. Our group thought it was delicious with an intense cheesy flavor. We tried the tasting menu and each dish was tasty and presented beautifully. The indoor restaurant is beautiful as well. This appears to be the only Michelin starred restaurant int he Gardone Riviera area.
Highly recommend and it seems like ti would be a very romantic dinner spot.

Un locale di cui ho sempre buoni ricordi.
Pranzo domenicale con moglie e figli;fuori nevica , il camino alla nostra sinistra aggiunge un tocco in più alla già bellissima atmosfera...

tartare di gamberi rossi ,burrata e kataify( facilmente non si scrive così) 3D deliziosa delicata divina.
Continuiamo con tre primi sempre a tema mare, memorabili.... da nobel!!! E mio figlio ( che non é un mangione a differenza del resto della family)si fá due piatti di gnocchi che é un piacere a guardarlo!!!
Allego foto e non mi dilungo , ma é stato propio un pranzetto con i fiocchi!!!mi è già venuta voglia di tornarci!!
Dolci buonissimi ( mi dicono i commensali).
Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo per un locale veramente di alto livello .... si respira un aria di passione e professionalità dove la bontà del cibo e la classe si fondono ( complimenti a tutto( ma tutto ) lo staff!!
Consiglio il locale vivamente suggerisco di prenotare anche con largo anticipo per assicurarsi un tavolo!!!

There is a good choice of dishes on the menu which includes more than pizzas.
The ham and melon were perfect and reasonably priced. Pizza comes in many varieties and covers a large plate. The service slowed down a little later in the meal. A convenient location in the middle of the town.
