We found this port shop following other reviews a few years ago and it was absolutely amazing. This was then a must do on our latest visit. Jorge has a fantastic knowledge of Portuguese wines and port In particularly, he is completely fluent in English. We bought wines during our stay, he made some great recommendations for us to bring home. As we have drunk them all during lockdown we went online to order more to be delivered to the UK. It was fantastically easy. Jorge dispatched them the next day and they were here within the week. We will be using this service again... and again. If you are in Porto we strongly reccomend a visit. If you love port wine these are the people t speak to.

An "alternative" little gallery, set in an old warehouse in the heart of "port-land". We went for the port tasting and found a welcoming host and a fine sample of ports and cheeses. We chose the "basic" and "advanced" selections to share, along with two rustic cheeses from northern Portugal, tastefully presented. Our six ports, with the cheese cost approx 16 euros. We then browsed among the ethnic craft items, created by unassuming local arists and craftspersons, and bought presents for the family. Difficult to find but do persevere - such a friendly, welcoming ambience, as with so much of Porto.

Garrafeira Tio Pepe

Founded in 1986, the Wine project Tio Pepe was supported by the experience of the wine business acquired since 1940, through three generations of family Cândido da Silva. Among other attributes, highlight the excellent selection of Ports and table wines. To prove it, we have an independent space entirely dedicated to Port Wine, carefully organized and ideal environmental conditions, where you can find wines from 1900 to the most recent years. Treasures for lovers! In table wines, the selection becomes the most respected and sought after wines, which makes this property a place of worship for wine lovers. The Wine Tio Pepe is an extensive establishment, and refined with a careful display of products, where the customer can enjoy a personalized service with professional advice. Have a retail area to support de shop, the cellar has a large air-conditioned warehouse, and a private car park. In summary, this is one of the few places in town where we can combine perfectly, buying a fine wine with the charm of a well-managed space
