I visited with my wife and two small kids (9 & 10yrs).
We had an absolutely amazing time.
The wetsuits were provided and offer all the protection you need. The water isn't particularly cold, but the wetsuits help.
The two instructors Henry & Mark were great fun and brilliant teachers. We were absolute beginners, yet they were able to get us all stood up on surf boards by the end of the two hour lesson. I would highly recommend Surfs Up if you are ever near Polzeath, you won't be disappointed. Thanks.

St. Enodoc Church

Parts of this church date back to late Saxon times or approximately 1,000 years ago, and is the burial place of England’s former poet laureate Sir John Betjeman.

Delightful setting almost on the beach, this is where John Betjeman is buried as he had a home nearby. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Fantastic! My dad had an amazing day and asked me to write this on his behalf. I bought him the experience as a birthday present and he had a terrific day. Very involved, hands on. Most informative and fun. Great to see the beer making process end to end. Made 3000 pints I believe! Tasted loads and had a tasty lunch thrown in. Came away with a presentation pack containing x2 bottles and a glass. Would recommend this to any beer lovers and great to support a small independent. Thanks to Des and George for a great day. They also have a shop on site. Money extremely well spent.

We travelled in October. The car park was empty, the Beaches were empty and the sun shone all day! It was like being in the Caribbean. Totally recommended.

The Camel Trail

Reviewed By downssideup - Cornwall

A wonderful dry weather activity for the whole family. Ride your own bikes or hire them from one of the rental shops at each end of the trail (Wadebridge and Padstow). Tag-alongs and trailers are available for younger children and dogs, tricycles for adults who don't cycle (perfect for our Grandma!) and a variety of accessible bikes for cyclists with a disability.
Go for a short stretch or pace yourself and ride the whole trail, stopping for lunch in townbefore retiring, or take a picnic to enjoy en route as you ride along the scenic river. You can even do a spot of bird watching as you go.
Just be aware that in high season the trail can become quite busy. So pick a time of day that might be quieter if you have nervous riders.
If you are lucky you might find a coffee/ice-cream vendor along the way.

Cornish Coasteering

The most fun you can have in a wetsuit! Coasteering is everything you always wanted to do at the seaside when you were a kid but were not allowed! Swim, scramble, climb and jump your way around the cliffs and rocky foreshore. Gain a unique perspective of this stunning stretch of Cornish coastline under the watchful eye of our experienced guides. Coasteering is awesome!

Three of us booked a day ahead to go coast steering. Two of us hadn't done it before (at 59 and 55) and I was a long way outside my comfort zone. Charlie and Henry were very encouraging and I EVENTUALLY managed to achieve all the jumps with very little style! My brain was willing but my legs objected.
The gear provided was so buoyant and I didn't feel the cold water after the first jump.
Go on give it a try.

I was lucky to see this beautiful beach on a sunlit winter afternoon, just as the sun was setting behind the hills opposite the car park. There are coffee shops, but this is not commercialised like so many other British Beaches. There is a decent sized car park. A lovely place to enjoy on summer and winter alike.

Brilliant instructors make a brilliant adventure day out!
We booked coasteering and mountain biking (do it on the same day and save money!) and thoroughly enjoyed both. Our instructors were enthusiastic, but patient, and catered for our varying abilities at each activity, as well as making us feel safe at all times.
If you haven't done coasteering before - do it! We really enjoyed the mix of jumps, climbs and exploring caves compared to previous coasteers we have done.
Mountain biking was great fun too, we chose to go to the "easier" site, although there was plenty of different runs for beginners and intermediates.
Overall, and excellent day, and we'd highly recommend asking Era to take you on an adventure!
