Rannametsa Tolkuse Nature Trail

The dunes in Rannametsa have always been a popular place among hikers. Trails and information boards have been built here to protect the delicate nature and still introduce the nature of Luitemaa to visitors. The 2.2 km circular trail, parts of which are a boardwalk, passes through the pine forest on the dunes and Tolkuse Fen, leading to the largest swamp pool of the fen (approx. 96 x 210 m). An 18 metre viewing tower has been established on the top of Tornimagi, the highest dune in Estonia, which takes you more than 50 metres above sea level so you can see as far as 50 km away and even spot Kihnu Island.

Alpakafarm

In june July and August we are open every day from 10.00 - 18.00From Meet our alpacas, llamas, goats, Ouesannt sheeps(smallest sheepbreed in the world) angorabunnies and or dog Mia. Buy alpaca souvenirs or refreshments in our farmshop.

Had a lively visit to the farm with helpful and friendly staff who were calling the animals to come closer and offered explanations. Do not expect a petting zoo. The visitors, especially children are told to behave near the animals and not to startle them as lamas and alpacas are not your average household pets. This is fair also to the animals who would otherwise be simply too stressed. We did have lovely time watching the alpacas graze, chase each other and got to give them a few carrots as well as to meet the baby miniature lamb up close. The farm also has a very nice gift shop that sells handicraft woolen items. Great day with family.

Parnu Coastal Meadow Protection Area

Coastal meadows and reed thickets line the sandy Parnu Beach almost to the extent of the entire city. The Parnu Coastal Meadow Protection area was created in 1958 to protect endangered and rare plant species and communities, coastal meadows, creeks and moving dunes as valuable habitats. The coastal meadows in Vana-Parnu and Raekula districts are the most interesting. The dryer Vana-Parnu Meadow has been maintained and cut for decades. A bird-watching tower and a small hiking trail were built here in 2008.Come and enjoy pure nature in the midst of the city!

Completed in 2006, the attractive Beach Promenade has the feeling of a real resort and makes the Summer Capital's beaches inviting even in bad weather! Romantically winding down the beach, the promenade surprises you with is well-thought functionality, and playfulness that comes from the use of different materials and fountains.Thought-out lighting keeps the beach active even when the sun goes down, and the playing colours of the fountains are a sight in themselves in the darkness of the night.Come and enjoy real beach feeling!.

The Parnu Jetty

Parnu has always been an important harbour. To stop sand build-up in the river mouth, jetties made from logs were built in 1769, as ordered by the empress Catherine II. In 1863-64, new jetties were built of rocks that were transported there from the beaches of Haademeeste and Kihnu. The length of both jetties was a bit over two kilometres. The jetty on the left bank of the river has become a symbol of Parnu. The jetty has gained a romantic aura as a place for lovers to take walks on; however, before taking a walk there, be sure to check the water level! At times, the jetty can be left completely under water, but when the water level is low, you can even see the ends of the wooden poles of the previous jetty.

Tervise Paradiis Water Park

The water park is a relaxing place for spending time with family and friends! The two floors of the water park accommodate 700 visitors at a time. The water park offers interesting activities for grown-ups and the young, for beginners and experienced water lovers. The more courageous visitors can use a 4 metre diving platform, and the depth of water underneath is 4 metres. Everyone riding the tube slides or torrential mountain rivers will definitely get a good shot of adrenaline. There are also pools, Jacuzzis, waterfalls, Finnish sauna and steam sauna, sauna centre Paradiisi Saunad, the Aqua bar, an outdoor heated pool (open in winter too!), a summer terrace and a bar waiting for you in the water park. The attractions of the water park allow everyone to be active - from a toddler to the elderly. The longest of the slides is 100 metres long. The shortest slide is meant for young children. The visitors sliding in tubes will not land in the pool, but safety channel.
