so we visited for the 3rd Christmas in a row, and this is a great family experience, animals are great, with some rare breeds, a new petting area is a great addition, kurt was a pleasant young man and very approachable and knowledgeable for the children, critters 2 is also something you don't see at other farms, the guy has so much time for people to educate about the great reptiles he has, and then the train to santa, Emily the elf and the big man himself was again a great experience, add all this to the indoor play area, and outdoor tractors and play area, and excellent café, totally recommend, after all it is a farm, so if its wet, then get those wellies out

On Mondays we look after our youngest 2 Grandchildren but this Monday we had our 7 yr old Grandson as well, because it was half term. It was almost lunchtime so my wife ordered the kids a meal deal, sandwiches, crisps and a drink. We've been many times before and the kids always have a ball. With it being half term it was packed and we struggled to find somewhere to sit. However, by the time the food arrived we had managed to secure a table and high chair. The sandwiches were a little bland and in future we'll select another option. Otherwise it was another good afternoon out on what was a horrible day, weather wise. I would recommend a visit for anyone with children below school age but not during school holidays. For older kids it's a great place to spend a rainy morning or afternoon and burn off some excess energy. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and safe environment.

Small carpark & Gardens strolled round in no time at all. Very small shop and courtyard with only 2 outside tables & benches especially as no dogs allowed in the cafe. Cafe filled up quite quickly. We were able to order hot drinks to sit outside. There is a walk alongside the canal which has a good path. Access gained via the next road along also another cafe on the same corner. We didn't do the visit of the house so cannot give an opinion

Fantastic walk to blow the Christmas cobwebs away and burn off the Turkey. We took our dog and enjoyed getting muddy and exploring the glen. My only complaint would be not signed very well or directions for where to park we parked in the lay-by opposite the pub but then the road is lethal fro crossing and then there isn’t a map to follow once your in the glen so you know where your going. We ended up on farmers fields signed private and got completely lost. But a great place to explore non the less.

Hidden behind some large bushes, this really is a Gem, the wonder was walking about asking how we liked it, and explaining how everything worked, and how long it takes to construct everything. We spent a good hour walking around, taking photographs. They will even let you drink your own coffee on the benches. A very very friendly place. There is also a little quiz to o as you go round.

Beautiful and vast stretch of sandy beach north of the city. There are lovely forested walks through a red squirrel reserve along with one of the country's most scientifically important dune collections. A great escape from the city and a good place to let children run off some energy. Car parking fee applies.
