Hakons Hall Sport Centre

Hakons Hall Sports Centre offers 2 handball courts, 6 volleyball courts or 6 badminton courts, 2 squash courts, a weight room, an aerobics hall and 13 changing rooms. The facilities also include a golf centre with 2 golf simulators, a putting green, a golf lounge and a driving range with 8 mats. Our fitness centre offers almost everything needed for weight training. Equipment for most muscle groups is available. We can also offer our customers training advice free of charge. Squash: We are pleased to be able to offer you 2 modern squash courts, and all the necessary equipment is available for hire. Squash is an extremely intense form of training. Annual squash tournaments are also organised. Golf centre: Hakons Hall has its own indoor golf centre with 2 Innesvingen golf simulators, a putting area, a driving range featuring 8 mats and a golf lounge. The golf simulator allows the player to hit the ball towards a film screen which projects the hole you are playing on. Ball speed and direction - seen in relation to simulated wind strength and direction - are assessed automatically by means of infrared sensors. As the ball hits the screen, it continues onto the course as if you were playing for real. Details such as length, remaining distance to the flag, and the number of strokes you have made thus far in the game and on the hole you are playing are also provided on the screen. Where the ball lands will be shown automatically, and your next shot will be from that spot. The golf simulator provides an extremely realistic golfing experience, and can be enjoyed no matter what the weather is like! Up to 8 persons can play on the same simulator, but we recommend that only 4 people play together at a time. Estimated time on a simulator is 1 hour per person for 18 holes, but you will probably need some time getting used to the system as you start. Golf club membership is not required in order to play a round on the golf simulator. Next to the golf simulator is a 9-hole putting where you can practice putting before trying out the golf simulators. Golf clubs available for hire.

We had the distinct pleasure of being blessed and fortunate enough to participate in a World's event for my daughter's competitive sport here. To be able to share in the rich history of the this former Olympic epicenter was such a treat for my daughter and the rest of her teammates representing Team USA. The Hall was HUGE and beautiful. It is easy to see why it was chosen as host for our event.
