Confederation Park, separating Kingston’s City Hall from the waterfront, was established in 1967 on formerly industrialised land. It includes a ceremonial arch with fountain, an unattributed stone sculpture, a restored historic locomotive ‘the spirit of Sir John A’ known as Engine 910 as well as a Tourist Information Centre which was formerly the southern terminus station of the long since defunct Kingston and Pembroke railway line.
