The Screaming Heads of Midlothian

Reviewed By JazzyButtons - Brantford, Canada

A great place to visit! The volunteers on the property are so friendly and more than willing to chat and tell you their stories about the place. We spent an hour there walking the trails and viewing the sculptures. Admission is free (they do have a donation box, with proceeds going to the Burk’s Falls foodbank and library). Plenty of free parking. Go and enjoy!!

South River Brewing Co

South River Brewery (formerly Highlander) is located in South River, in the Almaguin Highlands just north of Muskoka - making South River Brewing Co one of the most northerly craft breweries in Ontario. A five-minute drive from the Highway 11 exit will bring you straight to our new brewery on the main street in South River.

I picked up a few cans of Highlander Beer while traveling to North Bay a month ago and noticed, when i got home, the option to Order Online. I tried the service and had beer delivered to my door within days of my order. A great variety and good beer while offering a service that is useful during these days of social isolation. Cheers !

Beaver Pond Trail

We selected this trail at Algonquin Park since my daughters were young. But to my amaze, they took it with ease. Walking was tricky at times with stairs at certain places. There are park bench around the lookout point and the most amazing part was to walk through the trail with the fall colours all around you. Love the nature. Recommended specially during Fall..

Duchesnay Falls Trails

Reviewed By cruisefan1950 - Strathroy, Canada

My wife and I visited North Bay in July 2020 and were looking for things to do when so many attractions were closed due to Covid-19. We decided to visit Duchesnay Falls, a short drive outside of the city, and were very impressed with the area. The trails are well marked and you definitely get some exercise climbing from one level of the falls to the next one. It was a hot day, but fortunately the whole area is well shaded. We definitely recommend visiting this area.
