I am prone to seasickness and was very leery about taking this ferry across the Gironde in order to save a long road trip to Bordeaux. The ride itself was about 25 min across rather smooth, calm waters. Many cars and transport trucks line up for this ferry. Very organized and prompt. You can sit outside or enjoy the warmer atmosphere inside the waiting area. Pets are allowed on the outer deck but not inside the enclosed area which has a snack bar and comfortable seating. I was pleasantly surprised on how smooth and organized the ride was. We saved about 100 km of driving to Bordeaux by taking this ferry.
