The Windmill

Myself and partner Tommy always come here due to knowing the staff and regulars! Absolutely amazing customer service especially from the land lady who is so outgoing and kind! The cleanliness of the pub throughout is faultless and there is always some form of entertainment on every night which is great! I've never been in the pub and it be empty which is another good sign! Also it's always filled with plenty of regulars which says something positive about the place. Don't be put off by the car wash company in the front car park, I've heard one or two comments of it putting off some custom but they too are great to leave your car with when going in for a swift drink or having a lovely Sunday carvery! Ample car parking and lots of seating throughout, pretty smoking area and outside areas, live sport shown on TV, fruit machines and darts teams too. Definitely recommend popping by! Lovely little hidden gem! X

One of mine and my friends favourite spots in Norwich. Perfect mix of traditional and modern with loads of great and interesting new beer all the time ! (Cask, keg and cans). The decor is perfect both indoors and out giving off a really warm feeling. A really nicely decorated, almost secret, garden is also a really nice addition especially in the summer. Staff are always really friendly and welcoming, without being patronising, and always happy to give out testers and offer some good beer advice. Finally the place feels really safe in regards to Covid, with loads of handwashing stations and easy to follow signs laying out all of the rules. Aswell as loads of space to spread yourself out in. All round a really awesome pub thats definately worth a visit ! (Also they have a seriously cute dog, which is always a bonus)

The Fat Cat has a superb selection of ales which are constantly changing. Even though it is often very full, you will only have to wait less than a minute to be served. Staff are polite and knowledgeable and the clientele is always friendly. Best pub in Norwich

Great cocktails, great atmosphere, great service. Especially liked the provision of sanitary products in the bathroom for free. Only qualm would be small portions for £9 a drink. Have been twice and intend to go again!

The Fat Cat Brewery Tap

Micro brewery and the finest pub in Norwich. A year round beer festival with great live music and the most entertaining quiz night for miles around with the most enthusiastic manager you could wish to meet.

Visited last week quieter than normal due to COVID-19 restrictions, but still joint number 1 pub in Britain in my humble opinion (along with the Fat Cat West End Street) Great quality and well kept beers as ever on offer along with great atmosphere friendly knowledgeable staff which makes it a must go to place to. Indulge in the cheesy chips which were delicious and great value for money. Can hardly wait for my next visit.

We collected a Sunday roast during lockdown. One beef, one vegetarian. They needed to be reheated but this didn’t spoil the quality. Very generous portions and excellent value. We will definitely return. Highly recommend.
