What to do and see in Niagara Falls, Canada: The Best Hidden Gems Things to do

November 17, 2021 Timmy Ribble

Once a destination for honeymoons and family vacations, Niagara Falls has really stepped it up as an action-packed vacation spot. The falls are literally the biggest draw – watching the frothy water tumble at alarming speeds can be mesmerizing. Throw on a poncho and hop aboard the Maid of the Mist to cruise close enough to the falls to be drenched by spray. Hit the main strip of Clifton Hill for flashy tourist attractions and restaurants galore.

I’ve tried a few different escape room establishments in Niagara, and adventure rooms is the best, hands down. They’re very well thought out rooms and details, challenging puzzles and fun surprises. I’ve done both adventure room escape rooms, and will have to make my way to Kitchener to try the other rooms. Only complaint is not enough escape rooms. Lol.

We went as a family to do something different to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. Our group was of 7,- ages from 20-50.Lee was our instructor and he did a fantastic job from teaching us how to throw, to getting everyone's inner competitive personality to come out. We would highly recommend going.

We stumbled upon this magic show by chance as we were attending a different event at the theatre. Well, we're very glad we did - since then, we've been back 3 times over the years, that's how much we love it! Greg Frewin's magic show is the perfect balance of entertainment, illusions, and camp. The wide variety of magic tricks kept us entertained, and we were definitely wondering afterwards "how did he do that??" From the simpler card tricks to the grand disappearing acts (or even re-appearing acts!), it was dazzling for adults & kids alike. We appreciated that all the staff was friendly & welcoming, and happy to answer our kids' many questions :) We also enjoyed that Greg came out after the show for autographs and photos at no extra charge - was the highlight for the kiddos for sure! Overall a great experience for a family or couple, and something 'different' to try in Niagara Falls!

We drove through here and did not stay. We wanted to go for a hike and it was more of a gentle walk through the park - but absolutely beautiful. Parking is not free. I'd recommend it if you are looking for nice views and a gentle walk. If you're trying to be a bit more adventurous I would head down to Niagara Falls Glen Trail.
