The Old Stone Mill

To all the one star reviews, you are uninformed and uneducated. I grew up in RI and this tower was not a windmill or gristmill. No gristmill in America was ever built like this. Check out the Kenyon Grist Mill in Usquepaugh, RI which has been in operation since 1888. It’s equivalent to Stonehenge in England which I visited. It was built as an observatory where the sun shines through an opening on the summer and winter solstice, on to a specific stone. It was built by the Knight Templars of which I am a member and used as a calendar. It’s a brilliant piece of work and design.

Gold Brook Covered Bridge (Emily's Covered Bridge)

Reviewed By Solutions123 - Austin, United States

We’ve seen some quaint covered wooden bridges in Vermont. Emily’s bridge was my favorite because there wasn’t any other tourist around, it was quiet and peaceful, simple, and has an interesting story. Did Emily commit suicidal or got thrown off her horse and die? We got there just before sunset. As I was reading the sign, I felt my husband’s presence behind me. When I turned around, he wasn’t behind me. He was in front of the bridge taking pictures. I took several pictures and a few pictures looked like there was a fuzzy spot in them. Could it be Emily’s ghost? We’ll never know.

Betty and Barney Hill Incident Historical Marker

Reviewed By AudEE698 - Grafton, United States

We were staying in the area to visit the ice castles and despite it being ski season, there isn't a lot open for non-skiers to do. I had read about the Betty & Barney Hill Mural tribute to their first reported alien abduction in 1961 on the app Roadside America (which gives you offbeat & odd roadside attractions where you are), so we went looking for it. We got a kick out of seeing the mural and reading all the old newspaper articles that are in the the gas station! You can also commemorate your visit with the purchase of an alien tee shirt. While we did enjoy the trip due to the lack of things open in the winter season, I suspect the busy summer/fall season there would be much more worthwhile things to do, so I wouldn't recommend making a special trip during those seasons. But if you are looking for something, it's definitely odd!!

Salem Witch Board Museum

The world's only museum dedicated to the history and mystery of the Ouija Board. Learn the true history of how the board got it's name and patented, it's impact on pop culture, influencing movies, tv and music as well as stories of murder, suicide and mysteries surrounding the board.

This was a great museum! John was amazing and had answers to any and all question. Even without asking he seemed to provide the perfect amount of information to learn all about witch board history! Definitely would recommend this to all new and veteran Salem visitors.

America's Stonehenge

Formerly known as Mystery Hill, this unusual site contains many ancient rock structures "built" by humans.

Great place to visit with tons of history. I've been driving past this place for years now and finally went to visit. Watch the video link from the website first and download the app which describes every attraction in detail. It was an easy hike through the woods. Towards the end, there are alpacas to visit. There is also a nice gift shop available.
