Bully Boy Distillers

Boston's first ever craft distillery producing vodka, gin, white whiskey, white rum, aged rum, aged whiskey, and bottled cocktails.

Reviewed By Journey36054868789

I came here this past weekend (Saturday November 16th 2019), a few days before my birthday. I wanted to show some friends out of town a distillery tour that was something I enjoyed (cocktails and spirits), and so, to do that and support local business, Bully Boy was fun, more intimate, and we got to try some delicious product.

The Crooked Ram

The Crooked Ram is a restaurant, craft beer & natural wine bar and retail bottle shop. We serve lunch and dinner, along with cheese and charcuterie boards. Our menus change regularly with a focus on local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients. Our draft and wine selections rotate often, and feature a curated selection from our favorite independent brewers and wine makers from Vermont and beyond.

They have changed a lot since our first visit when they had just opened. Now they added food to the beer and wine tasting's. I sampled a couple of beers they had and purchased A great Pilsner from Schilling brewery in New Hampshire. They are always changing the taps so it always fun to stop in if you have time to see what they have to offer. We didn't eat but people seemed to be enjoying what they were eating.

The Crow's Nest

This hangout for Gloucester's locals was the bar frequented by the ill-fated fishermen of "The Perfect Storm."

Heard they made a good Bloody Mary and it’s true. If you’re looking for a bounty of condiments, these are not for you. Had a couple pieces of lemon and some puny run of the mill olives. They concentrate on the flavor in the drink itself and it was excellent! Best Bloody Mary of the day!

We had great drafts, cozy and fun atmosphere, and delicious pub food. Our group had the Sons of Liberty burger, the Tavern Burger, the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Sandwich, and Fish and Chips. All of us were happy with what we chose. I loved the history of the place with Paul Revere and George Washington have big had Sri is here too. Loved it and happy we chose it as we also were just a short distance from the USS Constitution that we had visited.

Wow! Delicious tasty cape cod seafood offered to beach goers while at Cohoon Hollow Beach. The fried oyster, shrimp and clam poi boy’s were amazingly good! The peel and eat shrimp, buffalo shrimp appetizer accompanied by cole slaw and a few pina coladas made for a great beach lunch. We can’t wait to return. The best!

Club Passim

Reviewed By travelinbluesgal - Cambridge, United States

I went to college in Boston, moved away for a couple of years and came back 20+ years ago. Can you believe in all that time I had NEVER been to Passim?? Cut to a few weeks ago...I went to my first show there and I fell in love with the place. It's so cozy, warm and friendly. The live music is off the chain...such amazing artists are coming through there all the time. The food/drinks are fantastic too. I went back on Halloween night for Peter Mulvey's Lamplighter series featuring Ali McGuirk, Tim Gearan and Thank God For Science. I had a blast. It was the best Halloween I've had in awhile. This is probably my favorite live music venue now. It only took me 20+ years to finally come and experience it.

Harrison's Restaurant & Bar

Reviewed By laurenba1022

Great restaurant! We couldn’t get a reservation so we went a little early hoping to get lucky. The manager was great and recommended we have a drink while waiting for a seat at the bar (only turned out to be about 30 minutes). The food was phenomenal - we had the wings and calamari to start and the pecan crusted salmon and venison for dinner and topped it off with the mocha cheesecake for dessert. All of it was soooo good!! The bread and whipped butter was also great! Have to give the bartender (I think her name was Jen) a tremendous amount of credit too. She was so attentive and fast and just fantastic overall. Definitely go to Harrison’s if you’re in Stowe!!
