When we visited the church was open into the lobby, the rest of the church was fenced off with huge metal bars. But, from here it is possible to see a lot of the inside and how superbly it has been decorated. It only takes a few minutes to see, and boy it is so worth while, it's absolutely stunning.

Fascinating historc church right in heart of city. It might seem plain inside but look up the tower to the hanging baskets, and discover the grim history. I enjoyed a grand organ recital and the impressive organ is majestic and clear-toned. Start your exploration from this church, in several directions there are shops, pubs, historic buildings. A great starting point.
