3 Bags Wool

A Wool Shop with a crafty side. We don't just stock knitting wool. We like to think of ourselves as Wooly Crafters using and selling everything wool related. Thrums which are hard to find in other wool shops are a staple of our stock and we use them in many ways to create rugs, runners, throws, cushions and decorations for the home and run workshops to show you how. We also stock local yarns (increasingly our preferred range), handmade felt and felting kits to help you create beautiful pictures. Sheepskin and Florries which are felted sheep fleeces and many other woolly delights including felting materials. We also have a lovely range of locally handmade giant knitting needles and crochet hooks exquisitely made with handcrafted thistle ends. Please pop in for a look next time you're passing.

Just spent a couple of hours with Claire doing the meet the owls experience. The four of us (two adults, a 7 year old and a 3 year old) absolutely loved it. It has really made our few days holiday. I would recommend it to anyone and lovely to end a cold morning with coffee/juice and cake in the kitchen. Really great to see a small business get fantastic reviews. Well deserved and we will be back again maybe next year.

Aaron Sterritt Woodwork

Come and spend a relaxing time in the woods learning new skills and meeting new folk the green wood way. Green woodworking is a traditional practice using fresh wood still full of sap allowing the tools to split, slice, shave and cleave through the wood with ease. No prior wood working experience is necessary, these courses are for all abilities.
