St. Roko Church

Reviewed By nrm77 - London, United Kingdom

St. Roko Church is located by the sea side and is just one of the most scenic places to have a church at! Given the location, it is very quiet and that is perfect, as it allows you to really connect with the divine. The place is just a supremely charming chapel, do visit if you visit Tivat.

Ostrog Monastery

Reviewed By doctorbobster - Gainesville, United States

In terms of presentation, architecture and culture, the Ostrog Monastery is a must-visit. Access is limited by a narrow, winding and sometimes scary road with an increasing number of hairpin turns as you near. You may have to park a distance and walk the rest. Access to the monstery itself can be limited in the busy season. In October, during the pandemic, no one was there. The entire visit, at a casual pace, can take <30 minutes. Photography is not permitted. The architecture, tiling and painting are unique and beautiful. The "monastery agains the mountain" can look for magical. It reminded me of the Taktsang Monastery in Bhutan and Hozoviotissa on the Greek Isle of Amorgos. You should check it out
