What to do and see in Mont Tremblant, Canada: The Best Things to do Good for Couples

March 9, 2022 Velvet Champine

Skiiers have flocked to Mont Tremblant since its first chairlift and lodge opened in 1939. Now, though, it's just as popular with snowboarders, who love its 18 acres of ramps, rails and jumps, and its Olympic-caliber superpipe. Don't fret, though, because despite its name, this mountain doesn't actually tremble... unless you've tossed back a few too many in one of the village's bars!

Tremblant is fabulous! The pedestrian village is beautiful and the two other Tremblant villages are next door and have great restaurants. The skiing is fantastic for all levels, there are green trails to double blacks from the top. Even during school vacation week, there were no lift lines. There are many other activities, too. There is an indoor waterpark and spa onsite. There is also an activity center that will hook you up with a variety of excursions. We did a dog sled tour and drove snow buggies. It was fantastic! If you go, bring a lot of layers. Actually, bring ALL YOUR WINTER CLOTHES. It is freezing! If you live in the US northeast, drive the extra few hours to Tremblant. It is worth it.

The girlfriend and I needed a day away from crowds, noise, and the city. So we booked a couples massage in the morning, which included access to the full grounds and came with free robes for the day. The massage: - Check-in was super easy. We went to the front desk and they had us fill out quick waivers before sending us to another building just down the path. There, we changed into our robes and went to a separate waiting area for our massages. 5-10 minutes later we were in the massage room. - The swedish massage I received was very relaxing. To be honest, not the BEST massage I ever got, but pretty good. I've had better for cheaper, but with the cost of the grounds being included in the price (which usually goes for $80/person), I think it was an okay deal. The grounds: - Wow. There were a ton of places to go. We started with the huge hot tub, where we relaxed for 15-20 minutes, then made our way to the loungers situated under heat lamps, along with super warm and cozy blankets. Nothing like hanging out in cold weather, but enveloped in warm robes, blankets, with a heat lamp on you. - The cold pools were conveniently located next to all hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms. Don't hesitate to add this part to your spa routine...ya, they are freezing, but man does it feel good when you quickly dip in one and get out. - Plenty of relaxation rooms with comfy seats, chairs, etc... The best part? People ACTUALLY abided by the complete silence rule. A few people here and there talked a little and it became annoying, but for the most part, it was amazing. No talking...no annoying laughter...just relaxation. For those that complained they got yelled at for talking...Well, you're not supposed to talk. There are literally signs everywhere saying not to do it. The food was pretty good. Nothing exceptional, and certainly not a lot of variety, but some good sandwiches and soups, along with limited alcohol choices. We spent about 4-5 hours there, including the massage. It got a bit crowded near the end, but not so much that I felt overwhelmed with people or that I couldn't get a space near a fireplace, in a sauna, or in a hot tub. They limits the guests in a good way. Well worth the day pass! Try it!
