Nercwys Forest

If you venture off the beaten paths here - starting at the corner through the style you are treated to some lovely hidden paths. Nothing wrong with the bigger paths but I prefer wandering through the older parts of the woods where the trees are closer together and the path less obvious.

Mold Alehouse

Fantastic place for great quality beer, expertly cellared by the very knowledgeable landlord. It had a fantastic atmosphere pre-lockdown, friendly people, always plenty of laughter and great conversations. It has operated as a off-licence only since March and continues to offer a fantastic selection of beers on draught and in cans and bottles. Bring your own container for some lovely freshly poured keg beer!

Loggerheads Country Park

We arrived during the afternoon, and parking was available right outside the entrance. Parking wasn't too expensive (£2 for 2-3 hours) and was free entry into the park! We enjoyed walking up the cliff, and seeing the amazing views at the top which was worth the walk! The woodlands had a variety of wildlife present such as squirrels and various birds. The walk around the river is highly recommended. We would definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again.

Fantastic 360 views from the top of the highest hill in the Clwydian range. Car park £2 all day and toilets, picnic tables and children’s play area so great day out. Took us 40 mins to get to the Jubilee tower at the top and with circular walk via Offa’s Dyke oath, our visit was 2 hours total. Be warned though this is a popular place especially on sunny days

Visited the raven yesterday and what a beautiful place ! A truly traditional village pub with lovely beer garden at the front looking onto the local church , Great real ales , very welcoming staff , the food was superb felt right at home , to have the village choir sing an impromptu rendition of hallelujah and here comes the sun sitting next to us outside was the icing on the cake , a very very pleasant afternoon spent with my wife at a lovely pub ! Will definitely be returning Thankyou

Afonwen Antique & Craft Centre

Reviewed By 6richarde - Conwy, United Kingdom

What a fantastic restaurant for delightful local produce! We called in here and discovered a lovely venue with super friendly staff serving well cooked local produce to deliver a stunning hearty breakfast. Our young waiter was obviously new to his role but he delivered an excellent friendly service and was so helpful and attentive throughout our visit. The rest of the centre was full of well priced and different items for sale.
