Sergey is the best tour guide in Belarus. He is very friendly, makes you feel comfortable and speaks English. He calls you the day before to confirm and arrives at your hotel on time. He helps me find a PCR testing center in Minsk before my return flight to the US. He even brought me mushrooms and berries at the hotel. If you're going to be in Belarus, call Sergey to pick you up from the airport as well as use him as a tour guide to show you around. He is great!

Minsk city tour is the great opportunity to feel the soul of the city and to see its varios sides: the historical buildings, soviet architecture and modern sites. First, we'll get acquainted with the historical centre of Minsk - Freedom Square (or as it is called by people Upper Town), where we'll have a walk to see the charming historical buildings of XVII-XIX centuries and remarkable statues and monuments. Next we'll drive along Winners Avenue to take a look at the new districts of Minsk with its impressive modern constructions. After seeing the modern part of the city we'll get back to the history to visit the moving Ireland of Tears and to explore the Trinity Suburb, walking around its cozy yards and corners. Then we'll drive to Independence Square and Avenue to admire the magnificent soviet arquitecture left from 1940s-1950s. And finally, we'll see the outstanding building of the National Library which is considered to be one of the symbols of Belarus.

This tour, booked completely randomly, ended up being a really fun adventure.. Our guide, Alexander was personable and warm (and a careful driver). During the drive, he told us about the parts we drove through and made sure we were totally comfortable. This made for a pleasant drive. The castles themselves have something to offer to everybody: Nesvizh for the beauty of its rooms and grounds, Mir for its military artifacts and the history of the communities around the town. Bonus: Alexander showed us good spots for souvenirs.
