Milton is the birthplace of former U.S. President George H. W. Bush and architect Buckminster Fuller. Came here in late Feb while visiting family and friends and there was still some snow from the previous week which made some of the rocks quite slippery, so make sure you wear suitable boots at this time of year as there was also a lot of water from melting.
The trail we used was great fun as it wound it's way between the rocks and there are some great views of Boston and the surrounding coast and countryside.
If you enjoy walking with a little rock climbing then this is a must when visiting the area.

Please note: Adams National Historical Park is open for tours from April 19 through November 10 every year. The first tour leaves the Visitor Center at 9:15 a.m. and the final tour leaves the Visitor Center at 3:15 p.m. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis.

We wanted some real history with facts and narratives and you get it here. We learned about the 4 generations of Adams'. Toured their homes and saw how they lived. Really learned about their love of our country. I don't think I've ever been through a tour that touched on that so much before. It was truly refreshing and inspirational. Quincy is a little bit of a drive outside Boston. I think it's worth it. The town is quite nice as well. A good trip. I have 2 teens. The first part of the tour was kind of "blah" for them, but the second half made up for it. Trick here: ASK QUESTIONS! If you see something, don't assume they will tell you about it. Ask! The guides know so much about this house and to make a tour that fits everyone can make it bland. So please ask questions. They are happy to share what they know. They have little gems about the house too.

Fenway is one of the greatest places to see baseball how it is meant to be. Hot (or Cold) but close to the players and with an atmosphere unlike any modern stadium. Food isn't that great but that isn't why you come here.

This facility is definitely worth the wait if you come but it is busy. A normal arrive-and-drive race is 15 laps at 1/4 mile per lap. The lap record is 18 seconds but the average person gets between 22 and 26 seconds per lap. There is also a lot of event space including a pool hall a small automobile racing Museum and a restaurant that lets you look over the track.

Just love this theater!
Comfortable seats, reasonable ticket prices, buy in advance option. Small place, with 3 screens of very different sizes (phone to see where your movie is showing if you care). Cute old-timey ads and announcements. Beer and wine in the lobby.
Eclectic movie selection.

This is a lovely place to visit. There are volunteer docents who walk you through the church, show you models of the older church and provide interesting pieces of information. President John Adams (2nd US president and the 1st US vice- president; under George Washington), his son John Quincy Adams (6th US president) and their wives are interred in the lower level of the church. It is an amazing piece of US history and should not be missed.

There are guides that will take you on the Freedom Trail from the Tourist Office in Boston Common. For a worthwhile tour avail yourself of the knowledge of the local tour guide. The experience will be so much more worthwhile. Fascinating explanations behind the actions of the patriots

This property is maintained by Historic New England. The house is worth seeing because of the history, architecture, interiors and furnishings which include oil paintings by well known New England artists. The staff is helpful. There is a reception area with restrooms. The grounds are attractive. Overall a property that is worth a short journey.

Houghton's pond/lake is a day trip for families or couples. It has a nice pond view and new boathouse. Near the edge it stays shallow, so it's safe for (supervised) kids. If you live locally, it's a nice summer option. If you're a visitor, it's better to visit off season (not July or August) because it can get crowded.

Great place to eat drink and enjoy the views from the many restaurants and bars that line the water front. Soon with the new construction many more restauraants and bars will open. Great place for dinner/Lunch or just a cocktail stting on the boardwalk with spectacular water and city views
