This was an amazingly fun tour. We learned all about the ingredients and the process used to make Jameson Whiskey, not to mention a wealth of background information about the Jameson brand and the distillery locations. I would recommend this tour to everyone with any interest in history or whiskey.

Wanted to experience the Ballymaloe Food Ethic and experience with a view someday to take a demonstration or dine in the House itself, but if this is a 'taster' of the service and food quality then neither option will be availed upon. We ordered a pizza in the Garden Cafe, we waited a full 31 mins for our pizza to arrive (the Cafe was not full or busy by any means) the Chef was in shorts and the food preparation was with bare hands !! Our €2 Pelligrino was consumed in a glass tumbler with a chipped rim, (not noticed till the end) The icing on the cake was when the Pizza eventually arrived it was burnt (see pictures) we pointed this out the staff and were given a 'sorry bout that I'll tell the chef' where upon we waited an extra 15 mins to see if any apoolgy was forthcoming, and none came. We left and honestly never will return.

Standing under the monument is quite surreal. I couldn't find parking near it so parked up a ditch. The monument consists of nine giant, stainless steel eagle feathers. Let's hope there is a plaque erected on site soon, acknowledging the sculptor Alex Pentek, and the Choctaws for their generosity to the Irish people.

Really great Market in the Midleton next to Supervalu's Supermarket. Lots of fresh produce and foodstuff on sale. Sometimes there is a bit of live music and this adds to the community feel of it.
Would recommend it for anyone local who has not dipped their toes yet and for any tourists visiting the town.

Just minutes from Galway. Beautiful Abby turned into a full service hotel. Sitting areas are beautiful, rooms well-appointed. Exceptional walking grounds and golf course. Staff very attentive and helpful, breakfast exceptional. The falconry is excellent. The instructor, gergin (not sure of spelling) is an expert and loves to share many factoids about his birds. Golf course is beautiful. Quick trip into Galway city Center.

My 11 year old daughter took up Surfing this summer. We often visit Inch beach and having seen others getting surf lessons with Swell Surf School, she talked me into letting her try it out. Initially she got a surf lesson and then ended up joining the kids surf academy on Sunday mornings as she loved it so much. The instructors were very friendly and easy to talk to.
We spent many days at Inch beach this summer and some days we rented out surf boards ourselves. Its great value and so much fun. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

We stumbled on this pub last weekend and were delighted that we did. The host Seamus Cunningham and his daughter, whose name we didn't get, were hospitality personified. Very enjoyable chat and they went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Lovely music early in the evening and nice food offering. Band later on and music six nights a week. It has a big smoking area and nice decor with underground heating so no chilly experiences. We highly recommend it-the sign over the door says it is the Town Hall but it is better known as Wallis' after the original owners.
