What to do and see in Microcentro, Capital Federal District: The Best Classes & Workshops

June 21, 2021 Alida England

The birthplace of the tango is, like the dance itself, captivating, seductive and bustling with excited energy. Atmospheric old neighborhoods are rife with romantic restaurants and thumping nightlife, and Buenos Aires' European heritage is evident in its architecture, boulevards and parks. Cafe Tortoni, the city's oldest bar, will transport you back to 1858, and the spectacular Teatro Colon impresses just as it did in 1908. Latin America's shopping capital offers the promise of premium retail therapy along its grand, wide boulevards.

I wanted to improve my Spanish so I spent two weeks taking 30 hours of one-on-one instruction per week. The experience exceeded my expectations. My teacher, Daniela, was extraordinary -- incredibly patient and well-versed in teaching a variety of levels using many different teaching methods. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and I learned so much. Everyone at the school is so welcoming. The facilities are clean and safe. I would totally go back and recommend this school to anyone looking for group or one-on-one language training. It's an excellent school!

I spent three weeks at Casa Spanish Academy January 2019. In January 2020 I returned to CSA for two weeks. Would have enrolled for four weeks if I had the time and opportunity. The experience was great both for improving my Spanish as well as the very friendly environment. El gerente Xavier is a super nice guy and the teachers among the best.
