July 3, 2021 Almeta Stockton

Known best for its wine, Mendoza is a bustling city to the east of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere. Although it draws its share of adventure travelers, lured by the climbing, skiing, hiking and rafting opportunities within an easy drive of downtown, the area’s more than 1,000 vineyards bring oenophiles in even greater numbers.

I went to Renacer on a private tour and had a great experience. The guide at the site was a friendly, smiling woman who showed me and two other visitors their cellars and landscaped grounds as well as vineyards, and also sat down with me for a tasting of three of their wines. It was a memorable experience in a beautiful setting.

We visited Casarena at the recommendation of our local wine tour Uncorking Argentina. Upon arrival to Casarena we were greeted by Cynthia, our tour guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, pleasant and genuine. In a concise manner, Cynthia was able to tell the story of Casarena, from the early days to the current state. Casarena is a limited production Bodega, focusing on maximizing their terroir to produce excellent wines, I would recommend the inclusion of Casarena to anyone that is looking for producers that pay close attention to detail. After our visit, we will be seeking out Casarena wines in NYC.

Bodega Cruzat. Bubbles Experience

Cruzat is a winery intended only for the production of quality sparkling wines, produced using the traditional method or "champenoise" (second fermentation in the bottle). The winery was founded in 2004 by a group of Chilean businessmen and by Argentinian Agricultural Engineer and Winemaker Pedro Federico Rosell. WINE TOURISM The experience of knowing this "factory of sparkling" goes beyond a tour and tasting. From the winery we strive for visitors to learn, identify and compare with other elaborations and process. The production area is open to our curious visitors; you can see and sometimes work at the cellar, the disgorging machine and label some bottles. The tasting room is oriented to the Andes Mountain and vineyards. We propose that our visitors enjoy and learn from what we do every day.

This little gem was a great experience even with my 2 kids. We arrived and had lunch with the most amazing food and wine at a very good price. The man servering us (Daniel) was able to explain in Spanish and English and gave great attention to our kids and took them to feed the fish in the pond they have. His service was outstanding. After a quick lay in the hammocks outside then off to a wonderful tour with Freddie who's English was very good and the tour was so informative. Nothing was too much and they even called taxis for us to get home. Super recommendable ..

We were lucky enough to be introduced to this gentleman and his wine in 2017. Tonight, we celebrated a milestone but sadly finished the last bottle we brought back from our trip. The whole experience of visiting Bodega Carmelo Patti proved to be one of the greatest highlights on the best vacation we've ever taken. Carmelo is authentic, earnest, and friendly. He crafts incredible wine that tastes all the better because you feel like he's an old friend and that you're part of his family within minutes of arriving. This is a spot worth seeking out if you're in or near Mendoza, and if you enjoy wine, look for a bottle wherever you can find it. You won't be disappointed.

The wines are amazing and if we compare to grand wineries I can assure you that it won’t lack quality at all! Actually it is much more interesting to visit them than major brands that you can find all over the world!

What a beautiful winery. We visited Matervini through a tour arranged by Kahuak, and it was a phenomenal experience. The facility is gorgeous and we loved the wines so much that we joined the wine club. Imagine our surprise to arrive home to an issue of the Wine Spectator featuring the best Malbec wines and 2 of the wines we purchased from Matervini were in the top 10! Our host, Gustavo Biondo was kind, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Our visit was early in the morning and I really didn’t plan on enjoying the wines, but boy did I ever!!! For us, this was one of the highlights of our vacation! Thank you, Gustavo and Bodega Matervini!!!

Bodega Familia Canepa Martin

We are a family winery, located in Chacras de Coria, Lujan de Coria, Mendoza. This winery is from the XIX century and was completely recycled, thinking mainly about quality, in order to express the attributes that our our terroirs offer at the foot of the Andes. With this proposal we want to communicate the style of our wines, contrasting the old with the modern.
