We had (family, five persons, a lot of experience using vip-services) a private tour from Porto to Douro wine-area, especially to Pinhao area and there winetasting, lunch and river-tour by boat. Our driver and guide was Joao Frade. Excellent service, a lot of information and good English skills. I recommend strongly. Hole daytrip was all worth of money in a reasonable price.

Well we certainly had a day to remember from the moment Pedro picked us up from our apartment. Pedro the perfect guide nothing was too much trouble. He drove us to the Duoro valley while imparting his extensive knowledge with such passion and enthusiasm and humour. I think one if the things that struck me most about the day was the feeling that you felt like you were out for the day with friends rather than on some military regimented tour! The Douro is stunning and we were blessed with beautiful weather. The day included a visit to a state of the art Winery for a tour and tasting - I was impressed by their use of gravity rather than electric pumps to produce their delicious wine and port - eco wine what could be better than that! This was followed by a fabulous lunch at a typical Portuguese restaurant, a boat trip on the Douro and finally a visit to the home of a wine merchant where we were greeted with a warm welcome and enjoyed another extensive wine tasting while we sat on the terrace enjoying the evening sun and fabulous views. All in all amazing a truly ‘Wow!’ day and will definitely be going on another of Pedro’s stunning tours on my next visit to Porto. Thanks Pedro

Highly recommend this 4-hour tour. Our guide - Ms. Roza Jedrzejko - was very knowledgeable about the complex history and culture of the Jewish population of Porto that dates back to the 1100s. While we toured the former Jewish quarters, Roza “pointed out” places of interest; many that no longer exist ("the hidden synagogue".) The highlight was a visit to the very active Mekor Haim, Porto’s Synagogue, the largest in the Iberian peninsula. When booking, be sure to check whether synagogue will be open on tour day.

Anyone who loves wine will absolutely love the Douro Valley and wine tour and the services from Oporto Sensations Tour are extraordinary. In Porto you'll be picked up at your hotel or apartment and learn all about the region as you are chauffeured to the Douro Valley. Our guide, Pedro, was incredibly knowledgeable in the region and was a joy to converse with over a lunch that was included in the very reasonable price, followed by a one hour boat tour of the valley also included. Two wineries are visited and the tours were very enjoyable and there is no pressure to purchase anything even after a few wine tastings. This is a family owned business and you'll definitely feel the personal attention which you never receive with the big commercial company tours. They offer other tours as well and this is now my go to tour operator in Porto
