We stopped in after eating next door at The Iron Skillet. The lady working could not have been more friendly and helpful. There were many unique and cute Michigan items to choose from. The kids loved picking different flavors of barrel-shaped hard candies. We’ll stop in next time we are driving thru.

My wife and I were on an ‘up north, getaway weekend’ at a cottage / lake house on Bass Lake. The owners listed this ‘hole in the wall’ as a recommended place for lunch or dinner. We had a late lunch where we joined some locals, other ‘tourists’ and snowmobilers on a Saturday afternoon watching college football on numerous televisions located throughout the establishment. We started with an appetizer of fried pickles (plentiful, tasty, thin, well seasoned spears). My wife had the mushroom Swiss angus burger with fries & I had the bacon cheddar angus burger with homemade potato chips. The burgers were delicious with very fresh lettuce, tomato, onion & pickles and a fresh bun. The staff was super friendly & knowledgeable of their menu. They were complimentary of their owners who only serve the highest quality food. If you are in the area looking for a great burger & a great experience ... check out The Hideaway Bar & Grill! Thanks for the memories Hideaway!
