Lowestoft (/ˈləʊɪstɒft/, /ˈləʊstɒft/ or /ˈləʊstəf/) is a town in the English county of Suffolk. The town is on the North Sea coast and is the most easterly settlement of the United Kingdom. It is 110 miles (177 km) north-east of London, 38 miles (61 km) north-east of Ipswich and 22 miles (35 km) south-east of Norwich. It is situated on the edge of The Broads system and is the major settlement within the district of Waveney with a population of 71,010 in 2011.

Table booked for the night. Made to feel very welcome and we tasted several really good cask beers in fact I had the best pint since the start of lock-down earlier in the year courtesy of Nene Valley Brewery. To finish the evening I tasted an astonishing imperial black icecream IPA at 11% . Brilliant! Cheese and Charcuterie was served with various fresh bread rolls, biscuits, olives, gherkins and chutney. More than enough for anyone and don't eat before hand thinking its going to be nibbles! Several different cheeses and air dried fermented salami and Chorizo sausage. A great evening was had by all of us and despite covid restrictions if felt like a night at the boozer if a little quiet.

What an excellent pub, the beers were kept superbly and what a great selection of Green Jack beers. I hope they don’t mind me saying it’s a bit of a spit and sawdust type of pub, but I liked it. They do a nice selection of various filled rolls to help soak up the beer. I will certainly be back.

3 generations family visit with ample food for everyone. Menu has been selected due to COVID but all Iconic classics still available. Must of us had a meat feast including red meat, prawns and chicken and mum had a veggie burger. Cooked perfectly and in portion sizes to put you off eating for a week especially after you’ve wedged in a dessert. Make sure you ask for sauce if you order the chargrilled chicken burger.

The Aquarium is Suffolk's finest live music venue. Nestled in the tranquil setting of the Lowestoft seafront, the Aquarium is a perfect place to see or hold an event.
