Gill Wilson Studio/Gallery

Reviewed By llinosp491

This gallery is a hidden gem and well worth a visit! Beautiful artwork in a variety of mediums, some gorgeous landscape paintings particularly of the west coast. Also smaller works, beautifully painted stones and cards. You can look at Gill’s sketchbooks as she works in her gallery, she is an incredibly talented artist, and very warm and welcoming. You could link the gallery in with a walk through the woodland from strontian.

Haggard Alley

Haggard Alley is a small shop based in the Fishing Village of Mallaig. We are down the wee Alleyway across from The Royal Bank Of Scotland and although we are small, we are somewhat an Aladdin's Cave for Licensed Harry Potter Merchanside and other Magical Gifts featured around the Mystical world.

We took the Jacobite Steam Train and as Harry Potter fans this quirky little shop was the best surprise when arriving in Mallaig! A lot of effort has been put into the decor, everything looks straight out the Gryffindor common room! There are many details in every corner and you can enjoy taking some time to look at everything. The merch is also quite interesting - they have things we hadn't seen anywhere else before! (like a Hogwarts train canvas!) Moreover the girl who owned the shop was really nice and helpful, and if you ask yourself any question about the amazing way the shop is decorated, she will able to answer! We recommend one hundred percent going there, whether you are a HP fan or just willing to immerse yourself in magic for a little while. This shop is a 9¾ out of 10!

Wayoutwest

Great indie shop in the Scottish west coast port of Mallaig. Lots of lovely shop stuff including jewellery, clothing, gifts, outdoor apparel, footware, wetsuits, stuff for the beach & stuff for the hill. Located in the heart of Mallaig, it's an amazing village to live & work. It's quirky. Shop local
