What to do and see in Liverpool, England: The Best Comedy Clubs

February 10, 2022 Tambra Mccollister

Liverpool's fortunes have historically been tied to shipping. But imports and exports like sugar, spice and tobacco pale in comparison with Liverpool's most famous export of all—the Beatles. Relive the hysteria at the Beatles Story Experience, and check out Paul's childhood home, but also leave time for exploring Liverpool Cathedral and the Walker Art Gallery.

Had a fantastic night at the laughterhiuse comedy and so week looked after by the most lovely hostess Cal Cairns. Fab service at the bar and the acts were amazing real proper belly laughs. Word of advice don’t go to heckle as the amazing comedien Chris Cairns is no lightweight he will shoot you down verbally and leave you speechless !!! I had tears rolling down my face with laughter. They handled the crowd so well as it was a difficult stag do in the front row but no task to small for chris as he showed them exactly how it’s done. Brilliant night out. Highly recommend a visit. Will definitely go back.

We went on a Monday when it was free entry (but have to pre book tickets for a seat). The bar is well stocked and decent prices (with it being free entry I'd expect it to be a little bit more for drinks). The seating area is a little crammed to say the least and the front row is practically on the stage! But the MC who introduced the acts Danny McLoughlin was great and on form, had me in stitches. And the acts themselves were great, some more than others but you do have to expect the odd poor one. Nearly 3 hours of entertainment for free, will be returning again! And hopefully see Paul Smith next time. One down side for sure is the toilets.

My mother and I took Afternoon tea via Groupon at The Bentley and we were in for a very good treat. The cakes and sandwiches were lovely along with the Prosecco. Thanking the very friendly and professional Jill and her team. Jill made us feel so welcome! Gorgeous venue too with beautiful sights if the river.
