Loved everything about this beach, mostly the view from the church and the hill. Go there prepared with iced cold water and snacks, if you want to spend many hours. An umbrella would be useful as well, espacially in august when you might not find a place under the trees.

We used the rent a boat service with these guys. We were very keen to get a full day so the owner gave us the keys and took us for a test drive the evening before. He was very helpful with navigational and island advice. The boat was in very good condition and had good shade. We went round the coast, visited Beaches not accessible from the land, found a restaurant on a wild deserted spot for lunch. It was quite simply the best way to see the island. If you like boats then do this, amazing fun!

Ganema Beach

Reviewed By eleniaggeliki - Thessaloniki

It's a nice, long, sandy beach, protected from the wind and it has Tamarisk trees to offer shade. It's popular and parking is a problem as there isn't any. You have to park your car along the main road. And there's an ugly problem too . Be careful where you step and where you lay your beach towel as the sand is littered with dog poop. People are obviously irresponsible and don't clean after their pets and the authorities are indifferent and don't do anything about it.

The hill top Chora dominates the skyline when you arrive at the port of Serifos. Do make a point of visiting the Chora and the Kastro and wandering the cobblestoned lanes. You can either take the bus which travels up hourly, taking about 12-15 minutes or you can walk via the stairs which are marked as walking path 1a. We chose to take the bus and walk down the stairs for a good work out without the extra effort going up. You will find several cafes and tavernas up in the Chora and there are plenty of excellent photo opportunities.

Spent 2 days exploring and fishing around the magnificent coastline of Serifos. We rented a boat for Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September 2016, were lucky enough to have wonderful weather and no wind and went all around the island. The boat was new and clean with a 30hp motor (quite economical when it comes to fuel consumption). Good service from the company and fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful curved bay with clear blue sea and golden sand. The sea was calm while we were there and we swam across the bay many times. The tamarisk trees along the beach offer welcome shade and we sometimes found free sunloungers. The taverna on the beach offered good food and drink and we were always welcome to use their facilities.

Moni Taxiarchon Monastery

This is a stand out for visiting as the history and interior of this monastery is fascinating. It is fortified and the door is always open and the local priest in residence is very welcoming, and will open up the church and also offer you a piece of his home made turkish delight. He lives there with his cats (we counted 7) and the interior is just delightful, and you don't feel that you are intruding. Do visit.
