What to do and see in Lisbon, Central Portugal: The Best Fun Activities & Games

December 21, 2021 Nobuko Falco

The museums of Lisbon celebrate the rich history and culture of this Portuguese capital city. The Maritime Museum is perfect for kids (and grown-ups!) who adore all things nautical, while the Casa-Museu Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves is a hidden gem of colorful artwork. To fully appreciate the city’s dramatic stone architecture you can take a guided walking tour, or customize your own tour, making sure to visit the Padrao dos Descobrimentos, the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, and the UNESCO World Heritage site the Torre de Belem.

There were 2 of us which worked perfectly, but I’m sure it would be great with more too. It was such a fun experience, unique tasks and unexpected outcomes. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a challenge. Sofia was a good game master too. She gave us insightful clues to help when we were stuck a couple of times, but without ruining anything! It’s so good we’re going to book again.

We went with a group of three and had an amazing time in the Asylum escape room. The game master was extremely helpful and ensured that we never got completely stuck, without giving away the answers completely. The rooms were very well designed with a creepy atmosphere and interesting puzzles that tied into a fun narrative. I'd highly recommend this escape room!

This place is so good! We didn't manage to escape in time, probably because we couldn't stop staring at how amazing the room was.. The game design was great, attention to detail out of this world and André, the game master was there when we needed some suggestions (probably more than average haha). Need to come back and try the other themes!

My wife and me did the chapter "The Research" and liked the concept with real actors very much! We have lots of experience with escape games and this one was special (due to having actors around) and also well thought of from the riddle's perspective - not too easy but pleasantly challenging! Would definitely recommend Safarka when you're in Lisbon! Thanks guys

Cine Society

'Cine Society' is really the ultimate way to enjoy a movie in Portugal! We offer screenings of the best movies under the night skies of Lisbon and Cascais. Turn up a little early and grab a drink, dinner or popcorn and watch your favorite movie as the sun goes down, and the stars come out. Get comfortable in one of the deck chairs or a sofa, and listen to the movie and music on wireless headphones which makes this experience immersive. We also provide blankets in case it gets a bit colder during the night. Tuesday evenings at the rooftop hotel bar of 'Hotel Baía' in Cascais, next to one of the most beautiful boulevards of the country and with a stunning view over the beach and bay of the pretty beach town. And on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the rooftop terrace of TOPO Chiado, the city center of Lisbon and right in between two of the most iconic buildings of the city: the Convento do Carmo and Elevador de Santa Justa.
