We are a boutique winery making organic wines set in wonderful countryside just out of Caldas da Rainha. We do winetastings with tapas, and wine sales direct from our cellar or we ship to you anywhere in Europe. Our wine tastings are famous for good food, good wine and fun! Our wines are made without aging in oak barrels so one can taste the flavour of the grape and our Terroir. We also offer summer accomodation in our apartment, which is registered with the Portuguese Tourist board under 11178/AL
It is well worth the trip to find this delightful winery perched on the hill, looking down into the valleys that produce their grapes. The hosts are welcoming and incredibly knowledgable, their award-winning wine is delicious, and they treated us to a wonderful tour and tasting. We neglected to phone ahead and book (which we should have) so our visit was a surprise and we barged in on their work. Call ahead to be more polite than were, and enjoy a real treat.

We tried the room "A Cave" for 4 players and it was great, it had riddles of every type. And when we couldn't decipher a clue, the hint wouldn't come too early or too late, it was in the perfect time. Must visit!

The museum has both temporary and permanent exhibitions. And it feels like between those, the museum gave us everything there was to see It started off with a exhibition about creation and evolution which involved dinosaurs and neanderthals. Then we saw the symbol of Leiria which is the pine tree; there were painting of the image of Jesus depicted by the Catholic Church..the most exciting has got to be the plastic exhibition though (I believe it was one of the temporary ones). We got to learn about how plastics was mostly used before vs now, which companies are the biggest producers in Portugal, we learnt about micro-plastic.. it was amazing! There was also a really cool exhibition that was a chess board that was made of incredibly unique pieces with one king being an owl, the other having a chess board in his hand, and every other piece was incredibly unique too. The one thing I have to complain about is the gift shop though. It didn't have small sizes for all the shirts, none of the bookmarks that were on display were in stock, the fridge magnets had magnets that are too small to hold its weight...it was all a bit of a mess Even with that, it was a great experience though. The exhibition were exciting and unique and the staff was very friendly as well. Perfect for a rainy day! And the tickets that you buy at the museum of Leiria can also be used to visit the Paper Mill which is right behind. Two for the price of one? Love it !

We went into the museum unsure of what we would find but we were immediately blown away. To the right there was an exhibition of all kinds of cameras (mostly old), of all shapes and sizes which was fascinating. To the left there were countless interactive gadgets that we experiment with and use to explore all the ways images can be displayed. And in the top floor there was a really cool photography exhibition as well. It was so much fun! And the best part? We went on Sunday so it was free ????????????????????????
