Established in 1918, this small yet popular park is home to a variety of trees and birds.
I had wanted to go to this park ever since I was young and learned of it in school. The southernmost tip and the birds migrating. Well we went late in the season so we only saw a few birds but it was nice that the gate was open so it was a short walk from the car to the end. It is a beautiful walk with a boardwalk and natural path.
The Visitors Centre was fascinating. There was a video, puppets, games, interactive exhibits. Amazing.
We also walked the Marsh Boardwalk. It was about 20 mins to walk. We had our 2 year old in a stroller as she was getting tired but I also liked knowing she was not going to fall in as there were many parts with no railing.

Great facility. Clean and efficient. Only negatives ..... 1. They docked us out at the very ends of the docks. Very long way away from the facility. There were many available docks closer. Yeah ... we should have asked for something closer. Next time we will know. 2. Too many codes for doors that were all different. 3. Kids that they have for dock hands can't dock a boat ... no clue what to do. Outside of that the place is very nice.

Reservations are required. I was fortunate to get a reservation the day before due to a cancellation. Even though it was off season the ferry was full. Not too many people but many tractors, hydro and telephone trucks plus cars.
The ferry departed and returned on time. A quiet 90 minute crossing both ways.

Very well kept beautiful beach. Wide and open. They are renovating it. Have added beach houses. Volleyball courts. Snack stand. Children's area. Building an Amphitheater. Very much enjoyed our day there. Found lots of sea glass! Great for families.

Great place to bird watch and hike with some interesting landscaping and most paths are elevated which makes them drier.

Aleksander Estate Winery is located on the North Shore of Lake Erie, in Southwestern Ontario. Family owned and operated, we use only grapes grown in our own vineyard and region to create wines which are truly unique in character and craftsmanship. We have award winning white, red and fruit wines available. We welcome you to come and visit our tasting room at the vineyard and experience what we have to offer. Who knows, you just might discover your new favourite wine.
Aleksander Estate Winery is my favorite! The staff is friendly the service is great, and the wine is awesome! Try the chambourcin - it's the best! All of the wines are wonderful, the reds are fantastic! I visit Aleksander Estate Winery every time I'm in...MoreThank you Megan!

Many families in the Windsor area have enjoyed the annual tradition of apple picking in these orchards. I remember going with my family when I was in elementary school. Go and enjoy the day picking a bussel of apple eating some treats and some warm apple cider.

Can't believe we have lived in the Leamington area for over 30 years and today was the first time we have ever visited this great attraction. There were the works of two principal artists in the main gallery and they were superb. We will not allow ourselves to stay away from the gallery from now on and will be regular attenders since the exhibits rotate and there is always something unique to enjoy. There is no charge for admission but donations are a nice tribute for great works of art.
