Fontana dei Mascheroni

" The water is good, fresh, soft and slightly sweet" With these words Luigi Galli, in 1940, described the water of the 15th Century Fountain of Laterza. This fountain was restored in 1544 by the Marquis Pietro Antonio D'Azzia, as indicated by the emblem on the fountain's facade, retaining still memories of a Roman past. On warm summer evenings, under the protection of the stern gaze of apotropaic masks, you can still find a cool relief in its basins.
