Makris Gialos Beach

Nice and clean beach with tons is restaurants and amenities the only down side is that you have to walk a bit through restaurants and some narrow streets otherwise climb down small cliffs to get here but it’s nice and shallow water is pleasant if you have small children.

Trentis bar was the reason we went to kefalonia for its northern soul festival. We had the best week ever and the bar was the perfect venue with Seating and an area to dance. The staff were friendly and efficient and we never had to wait for our drinks even when the bar was heaving. Best of all the music was amazing. We went ever night we were there and danced into the early hours

Panem Day Trips

Reviewed By JCC2011 - Bury St. Edmunds, United Kingdom

Firstly, I will give credit to Panem for their organisational skills - the lady at the Lassi office was very friendly and easy to deal with, when booking our places on their Ithaca tour. The coaches we used were well-equipped and the day flowed well.
Our tour guide, Anthony was knowledgeable and at times showed a dry sense of humour. However, he lacked passion and, at times, I felt his judgement when dealing with people was not great. For example, when we first met him at the pick-up point in Lassi, he saw we had kids with us and uttered something like 'oh crickey', as if to suggest this was not going to be the right sort of day for them. This was ironic since it had actually been my daughter, aged 11, who had been the driving force behind us choosing this trip, due to her fascination with Greek mythology. As the day progressed, hopefully he realised his mistake, but it was difficult to tell...
Ithaca was lovely, we enjoyed our day and did learn some new things about ancient Greece, life on the island and particularly Greek Orthodox churches. Well worth a visit.

Paliostafida Beach

Reviewed By ilovethatbag - East Anglia

Shallow, sandy, plenty of spaces around beds. But be warned, guests at the hotel reserve beds. I woke up early one day so walked down there. By 10am and could only get third or fourth row back. Many beds reserved and some people didn't turn up until after lunch!

We spent two days diving and snorkeling with Pirate Divers Club, and they are definitely the way to go if you're interested in scuba or snorkeling in Kefalonia. George and Eva are so helpful, welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun! We dove/snorkeled Dias, a WW2 wreck, and Cavern X. We got to see many fish, up close and personal with a cuttlefish and an octopus, starfish, and more. Eva took beautiful, professional quality pictures throughout the day and emailed them to everyone for free! Quality equipment, terrific dive sites, and great people...what more can you ask for?!

Platis Gialos Beach

This beach is wonderful. Close to Lassi and children friendly. Golden sandy and wide. To one side there are rocks where people go snorkling. It is turned to the west so you can see sunset. You also have toilets and improvised tap where you can wash away the sand. Parking is available close to the beach. It is not urbanized, I didn't see sunbeds or parasols. Water is crystal clear and fresh. Enjoyed our stay there.

Kalamia Beach

Reviewed By carried1 - Birmingham, United Kingdom

A beautiful beach that we stumbled across when walking along the Fanari road. The water is crystal clear and a lovely temperature. Its almost deserted and very quite. Perfect for a little swim and chilling in the sun.
We went down the dirt track so cant comment on the other access, but the dirt track wasn't too bad.
Next time I will go early morning and spend longer there, a lovely little hideaway.
