This is a stunning beach. The town keeps it clean, the water is warm and calm, there are many lifeguards. The beach itself is wide and sandy, plenty of space for many to enjoy. the scenery surrounding is equally impressive, contains in the back and a large hill in the front as it is part of a cove. the only drawback is that there a a great many high-rises along the shore which detracts from the otherwise natural setting.

The authorities have done a good job of putting signs in Spanish on interesting old buildings in this part of town. If you speak the language you will learn all you need to know. Otherwise you can book an English speaking guide. It isn't a huge area, you can explore it comprehensively in an hour, with extra time for the church and fortress on the adjacent headland

This is an old coastal defense fortification on a high headland next to Laredo. It is a substantial uphill hike to get there from the old town, you must go to the end as there are wonderful views of the coastline to the east. The views in other directions are wonderful too. Unfortunately this is a one way system, you will have to retrace your steps to get back to town. You can access this place via a walkway to the west of the old church or one to the east--the western path is the more attractive.

Rutas increíbles por los bosques de Cantabria. puentes tibetanos, Rios, y naturaleza en estado puro. Tito el guía es un personaje unico divertido y con sorpresas inesperadas. Hicimos 2 rutas diferentes una con cocido montañés y repetiremos seguro !! Felicidades Tito por tan gran trabajo e ilusión !! Recomendable 100%

Éste es un clásico lugar que vive y subsiste, entre otras cosas, de y por la pesca y todo cuanto conlleva a su alrededor.
Son muy conocidas y "buenas" sus anchoas. Por cualquier calle encontramos una conservera; en ellas podemos adquirir, sobretodo, sus famosas anchoas.
Ya que estáis por ahí, a puede dar un paseo por los alrededores. No es que hay mucho que ver, según algunos. Pero una cosa es cierta: sus rias son curiosas y ... el aparcamiento en este pueblo, algo difícil.

Laredo para mi es una ciudad que tiene la playa mas linda del norte de España. A tan solo 200 mts., en una recova, se encuentra este Pub que no duerme de noche. Mesas en la vereda y un muy bonito salón en planta baja donde podès tomar desde un tè hasta un buen trago elaborado. Muy amable atención. Wi Fi. Estacionamiento en la puerta. Excelente ambiente.

Buscaba un sitio donde tomar un cafe para despues buscar donde tomar la copa nocturna de turno, y me encontre con este local donde hacer las dos cosas. Menuda buena sorpresa: cafes de todo tipo, buenisimos, con nata, helado o algun licor... y con la buenisima musica que ponen se te pasa el rato tan agusto que no tienes por menos que tomarte alli la cerveza posterior o algun coktail que te preparan los camareros con sumo gusto. Es un sitio pequeño pero muy agradable para pasar el rato. Tambien tienen terraza para poder tomar ese buen café al aire. Una agradable sorpresa en la Puebla Vieja de Laredo.

Cuando una actividad ludica o deportiva se enseña desde la pasión y la pauta la rige la profesionalidad, el alumno la vive de forma especial. Eso es lo que me pasó cuando decidí aprender stand paddle surf (remar sobre una tabla). El entorno es ideal, los medios que ofrecen son completos y siempre actualizados y el equipo humano dirigido por Braulio sobresaliente. El trato y la dedicación de todos los monitores con los niños que estaban aprendiendo surf o paddle me encantó. En el grupo de adultos crearon un ambiente propicio para que el aprendizaje de esta practica deportiva fuese excepcional. En resumidas cuentas, la seguridad, los medios y la dedicación profesional , ligadas con la pasión que le ponen hacen que sea lo mejor de la experiencia.

The church is situated at the top end of the old town, from where you can take one of the paths up to and along the cliffs. It was closed when I visited but the surround is quite interesting, with the fortified wall and Civil War monument (which I think has been vandalised as it appears a large plaque is missing?). The cemetery entrance is also behind the church. A nice setting right in amongst some of the old town houses and worth a stop to look as you head up to the cliff path.

Tapas de cocina muy eleboradas en un bar popular. El ambiente no muy limpio y ruidoso, la decoración viejuna, iluminación triste de neones antiguos y el servicio hosco en una cierta tradición cántabra de confundir la simpatía o la amabilidad con el servilismo, resta puntos a un local que por calidad e ingenio de sus tapas merecería mucha más atención.
