Fox & Hounds Pub and Restaurant

The bangers and mash plate came with 2 HUGE bangers on top of mashed potatoes surrounded by a yorkshire pudding mountain with nice flavour. Can easily share with 2 people. We always order the appy wood chips too which is a large plate. Nice dark ‘ole English pub style atmosphere, lots of locals and good service.

Let's start with the food. Ingredients here are always crisp and fresh, as free of oil as possible, and prepared with pride (I sent a schnitzel back once, and the cook who'd cooked it came to my table personally, to apologize. And the replacement was on the house. No, I wasn't on anything. It happened) I've tried the loaded burger, the liver and onions, and the schnitzel. The first two were excellent--I could cut the liver with a fork, it was so tender. But I am addicted to the schnitzel, which is half the price you'd pay at a specialty restaurant, and you get quality and quantity that will have you jumping on your chair to applaud the kitchen. Reasonable prices for food and drinks. AND if you feel you shouldn't get behind the wheel at the end of the evening, the AD has a shuttle van to see you home safely. Free. . .but be a good guy and tip the driver. I go most Friday nights, 'cause I like the karaoke, which is high quality. Becky, the host, knows all the songs and if you want to sing something weird, she'll try hard to find it on the net and download it for you. Super gal. Gazillions of draft beers and ales, excellent staff--very friendly and efficient. Always a good mix of patrons having a good time with zero tension in the air. What more could you ask for in a pub? Just a great place.
