Old Town Kurashiki is Beautiful!!! 15 min walk from Kurashiki Station. You can also take a bus for about ¥210. Great as a half day trip from Okayama (30-40 mins by train). Super easy to get to. Walk along the river and enjoy the scenery. Old Town has many great shops and food stalls. Was full of beautiful ladies in their kimonos taking photos. Absolutely stunning! You can also find different themed cafes like the owl cafe and cat cafe. They also have other animal theme cafes.

Achi Shrine

Reviewed By 380lachieg

We avoided the 200 steps on the South side and walked a gentle path up from the Kurashiki station side. Clearly not a memorial but a living shrine in use. Buildings are many, the views pretty good, the experience absolutely worthwhile

Kojima Jeans Street

We were amazed by this street, from the hanging of jeans decoration to the toilet or even rest area for that matter. We visited almost all the shops that were open during this Golden Week holiday. Happily shop what we want though it is costly but paying for quality and uniqueness of “Made in Japan”.
