Whether on the water cruising Boka Bay, walking along the promenades on the waters edge, or, driving up the Horseshoe bends heading to Mt Lovcen every view is breathtaking. It is worthwhile covering all the angles if time permits as the memories & photos will live with you forever. Truly a magnificent city in a unique & 'hidden gem' of a country ( Montenegro ). When I think back that this was just tacked on as a side trip to our Croatian tour - with a ??? really? response - Kotor & Mt Lovcen were highlights of our 5 weeks awy in the Adriatic.

The Ladder of Kotor is a historic hiking trail is that connected Kotor with Njegusi village and Cetinje. For centuries, this was the only path connecting Kotor and Cetinje. From Kotor, the trail climbs up over 70 switch backs into the mountains to Krstac Pass. Those who climb all of the way to the top (940 meters) will be rewarded by phenomenal views of the fjord.

72 switchbacks up to the abandoned church then a much smaller ladder into the fortress. This is the local route and is free.

I bought a roundtrip from old town porto marina 5€, botes go every hour 10 minutes by boat. When you get there you will total amazed with party people from all Balkan, people shorts bikini dancing water, swim pools that are total free charge and you can rent a chair for 10€ if you need other wise the great local DJ will make day party Ibiza feeling by the sea side outside Budva rivera. Bars and restaurants in all complex with cheap prices very high quality place best experience to dance party , the complex is amazing is my favorite spot in Montenegro for all ages

It was an amazing tour! We went on a three hour private tour for 100 € from Herceg Novi. It was a smaller, older boat that took us there in slow speed so that we could enjoy the beautiful view. We booked through Montenegro Travel Service and booked a boat called Bounty with Roman as captain and guide. This tip is highly recommended! The highlight of our stay in Montenegro!

Hard to review this, you are not really allowed on the island but a tour to Our Lady of the Rocks will fill you in on its history. It is a working monastery and as I understood, visits are by invitation only,
