The Tokyo Rinkai Disaster Prevention Park

Reviewed By HardeeHar - Calgary, Canada

This will be the site of central command when the next very big earthquake hits Tokyo — which experts say is overdue and inevitable. Re their earthquake exhibit, there’s information on earthquakes past but the main purpose is to encourage thought about and preparation for surviving a future quake. The exhibit begins with a walk through of a mock city street destroyed by a quake and this really preps your mind for the displays which follow. Topics include nourishment, shelter, sanitation, first aid, mental health. Possibly a good idea to go here earlier rather than later during a visit to Tokyo.
