Temple is not very big, but maintains sanctity, and also there is a good discipline. There can be long line of pilgrims waiting to have the Darshan of the devi. If you are in a hurry, you can take ticket for 100 Rs. (a small queue would be there) or Rs. 500, which is almost a direct entry. Vidyarambham takes about 10-15 minutes, but done in batches; so you may have to wait for upto 15 minutes to get your chance.
You can wear full pants (not half pants), but gents have to be topless.

In these parts , Sri Mookambika Temple is known for Vidyarambha like famous Saraswati Temples and many parents have their kids aksharabhyas here in this Mantap. Singers, dancers, musicians and artists -amateurs and celebrities give their performance here to seek the blessings of Sri Mookambika.
Every day at 8.30 pm, Utsava Moorthi is brought in a palanquin (pallaki) and is placed at this Mandap and Asthavadana Seva,Sangeetha sruthi vadya and vedaghosha
etc. take place and Naivedya offered and Mangalaarati given to the Goddess. After that the Deity is taken into the Temple and finally before closure of the Temple at 9 pm, Kashaya Mangalarathi is given which many wants to see.
All present at that time can view this pujas at the Mantap.

The Balamuri Ganapati temple is just outside to the right hand side of Sri Mookambika temple. This is one of the ancient temples. The only difference is that this temple is not inside the vicinity of Sri Mookambika temple. Ideally there are multiple god and godess inside the vicinity, however this temple is different from others.

This Kollur village now surrounded with Forests is a famous Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary and my trip to this great location was amazing.
It is here that a The great hindu sage Sri Sri Adi Shankarachary Swamy who streamlined the Hindu Community based on the occupation also known to be a instrumental in using great powerful Occult symbol of high powers called “Sri Chakara” and instructional procedure as per vedic practice conductor of prayer forms that can connect and communicate with the gods.

A visit (Dharshan) at this temple completed my stroke of spiritual adventure as well and my Holiday became all the more valuable with all these extras at very economical cost. I now have earmarked this location as a treatment for body, mind and soul and set is as frequenting holiday spot to be away from the concrete jungle and the mechanical life work environment.

The Sigandur Chowdeswari temple has come into prominence only in the last decade are so. The crowd of devotees increasing day by day is the proof that there is some thing unique about the Devi. The temple has grown very big and the arrangements are very good. They do have lunch facility for the devotees. Only draw back is the condition of the road (2kms) from the main road which is horrible. Returning to Sagar from here itself is an experience as the vehicles are transported in a launch on the back waters of Linganmakki dam. The trip of 17 mts is one of its kind and a nice one.

Awesome experience to this beautiful and wonderful Waterfalls. Love the trekking to this place. Amazing feeling after the trek and get inside Waterfalls.
We reached Kollur at 10:00 am on 2nd Jan 2016 and started trekking ( Before starting, once should get permission from RFO in front of Kollur Busstand , 200/- Per head). Trek starting point is 2kms away from Kollur temple. We were group of 8 members, had fun along trekking with selfies, relaxed walking and took nearly 2hrs trek to Waterfalls Board ( from here 1Km down we need to trek). So totally it took, 2:30hrs for one way and return jouney took only 1:30 hrs.
Waterfalls is spectacular view. and fresh water. As Jan2016 is not rainy so it was easy to trek to this place, No slippery.
If anyone knows swimming, it is the best place to do it. As i did. Should be careful for non swimmers.
No need of any guide to this place, it has nice trek route, no confusing also.
In Jan 2016, very very very less leaches. So we enjoyed trek .
We returned to Kollur at evening 6pm.
Started at 10am and reached 6pm. So one day trip is good for this place from Mangalore.
