Lake Red Rock

We are from California and decided to check out Pella. We liked it so much that we decided to stay over an additional night. We drove over to the Lake and we were so impressed by its size, beauty, boats already taking advantage of the mid 70 degrees weather, and those fishing and camping. The Visitor's Center was closed but it offered a very pretty viewing area. They also had many bird feeders hanging in the awnings and we enjoyed seeing some beautiful birds that we don't have in California.

We visited 8/15/16 in the morning. It's not really my kind of thing, so I let my husband go while I waited in a vestibule working on my phone. Interaction with lady up front was pleasant. Her being friendly, professional & helpful made us feel welcomed. My husband is a senior, so admission was $4. He said he really enjoyed the displays & that he's really glad we went.

Grand Theater

First run movies, film series, concerts and special events presented in two auditoriums (215 seats ground level and 84 seats upstairs) in this 1920 era building that was completely renovated in 2015. Owned and operated by the non-profit Grand Theater Foundation with the primary mission to provide affordable entertainment to our community.

The Grand Theater is a lovingly restored movie theater that shows first run movies in it's two theaters. Prices are very affordable ($5 per movie ticket) as are the snacks. I'm so grateful to have this entertainment option available in town, and I'm so happy to be able to take my kids to the same theater I went to as a kid.
