Hřiště links se spoustou vodních překážek, špatnými melioraceni, takže se na hřišti stále potýkáte s vodou na fairway. Mnohde se při neznalosti hřiště dohadujete kam hrát. Clubhouse s přátelským personálem a bazální nabídkou zapomenutých rukavic ... Na hřišti je jeden automat na nápoje, tak je třeba nezapomenout pití s sebou.

The lift connections could be better, the snow and the pistes are fine.
The kids school and amenities need improvement. There is no kindergarten, although it's highlighted that it exists. In reality it's just a ski school course and place for the kids to relax and have some lunch, not really a place where one can leave a kid. If needed one needs to book well in advance and even then it's not sure what sort of service one can get.
The restaurants anywhere around the sloped are overcrowded around lunch time, difficult to find a table and to get food.
All this definitely needs improvement in order to reach other ski resorts.

Tried to get to the Jochalm after Reading the positive reviews, but had to turn around being very frustrated. From Kirchbach, there are two roads going up there: We tried both options with a standard family sedan type of car (mazda 5) and drove as far as possible. Eventually we had to turn back, because we did not feel comfortable any more on the gravel roads (not enough horsepower, gravel road requires 4x4 car, lack of directions).
Unless you have a 4x4 or are not worried about damaging your car, it is probably possible to get there driving. If not, it is better to walk.

We did the entire 2 hours boat tour in excellent weather conditions, providing continuously changing and great views. People were diving into and swimming in the lake and waving their hands as you pass them. Staff on the MS Alpenperle (operated by the Müller family; M1 on the schedule) was friendly and supportive. Food and drinks were OK and not too expensive, but overall value for money could have been better. Both indoor and outdoor Seating were very relaxing. Highly recommended to enjoy the beautiful views in a relaxing way!

I took my children of 8 and 11 years of age who love climbing and this type of parcour to NTC Outdoor Park in Nassfeld. The scenery is fantastic, the nature, the Mountains, the pure air are lovely. On the other hand, I was very disappointed and even concerned by how this attraction is organised. The staff seemed to be able and interested in speaking a language different than German only at the moment of collecting the money. After that, instructions were given in German only, which I speak, but my children don't. I asked the staff to give the instructions also either in English, Spanish or Italian (languages my children speak and none of them extremely rare or unspoken languages, considering also that the place is just on the Italian border), but the staff simply did not care. When I asked which parcour between the two easier ones was more suitable for children, I was they were the same level. Seeing then the parcour myself, it was crystal clear than one was much easier and safer than the other. The staff was not following or looking after the children, so in case of emergency, who knows what would have happened. I will not come back and I would not recommend taking children there.

Rainer has a lot of knowledge about the quads and the area around Nassfeld (Hermagor) and just over the Italian border. It's really a very impressive tour, cause of the interesting nature/history and the power of the machines. We will come back anyway Rainer!

Sadly we couldn't complete the walk as 5th bridge was blocked off and the route via 9th bridge was very steep and full of boulders. The part that we completed was great as long as you don't mind sheer ravines and clinging on to metal chains for safety or the odd tree root!!! We saw a huge salamander and so many woodland flowers. Wear walking shoes.

In this centennial year of the war to end all wars. I find this wonderful little museum in the Carnian Alps of northern Italy.It truly depicts the horror and hardships of the terrain and weather elements that these soldiers endured.The women of Timau who made the terrible trip up the mountain help the men with supplies each day.

In an attempt to caution against war, and a desire for peace in Europe, the Museum accurately documents the WWI Front from the Ortler Mountains to the plains of the Isonzo. The region's history during the War is presented by revealing the fate of common soldiers as well as that of the local civilian populations from both sides. This is successfully accomplished with the aid of numerous photographs, documents, personal items of the soldiers, as well as artifacts and displays which include excellent recreations of various structures. The museum also allows the visitor to see how the "Paths of Peace" have been paved by the hard work of the "Friends of the Dolomites". These paths stretch from the Plocken Pass in the east to the Col di Lana in the west.

While I must admit my interest in this museum will be biased, as I am particularly interested in the military history of this region in WW 1, my wife would not have said the same before visiting this outstanding museum for the first time.
Even though it is relatively small in size, the message and information this museum conveys is immense.
This museum is just as much a Peace Museum as it is a military one.
What makes it so different is that it incorporates the human perspective of the simple soldiers that fought on this lesser known front in WW1. There is no overt patriotism or good guys vs bad guys message in the displays, just the folly of politics pitting common men from both sides of the conflict against each other and the ever-present elements of nature (avalanches of snow and rock, freezing temperatures and the Mountains themselves) We witness life from both sides and recognize the similarities of what it was like to suffer being a soldier.
The description of ALL displays in the museum are in German, Italian and English. However the English description is contained in a folder available for the ticket booth. This is lucky for English speakers as most often English is not included and if so - only very fleetingly.
For those visitors that know nothing about the "War in the Mountains" and have some interest to learn more, then a visit to this fine museum will provide a good foundation of the entire front line stretching from the Swiss border in the West to the Mountains of today's Slovenia and NE Italy the in the East.

Berg is a little 9 hole golf Club with driving Ranch and nice narrow and challenging holes and a warm and welcomming atmosphere, As I do play there as often as I can, I thought I should mention it. The eagles nest is a nice tee-box on the rocks, two longer paar 4's (doglegs) and some narrow fairways will test your accuracy. Well worth a trip!
