Absolutely love the Nip & Growler... always got great random beers on tap, nice and cosy, good music, fun to be had with board games and all in all, one of the best bars in King's Lynn... and Norfolk... maybe even the world... ;-)

The London Porterhouse

A traditional pub at the heart of the local community, where you can enjoy a decent pint in front of a real fire. Families are most welcome. Well behaved dogs, too. We have regular quiz nights, live bands and a number of special events throughout the year including a conker competition, golf tournaments and an annual Bake Off, all of which are fiercely contested. A warm welcome awaits you in the London Porterhouse.

Seriously impressed with this pub which we visited at lunchtime with three young kids. They are doing everything they can to guard against the spread of coronavirus - taking the measures much more seriously than other premises we’ve seen, with food served in single use (but sustainable) tableware, staff using masks and outdoor tables spaced for effective social distancing. It gives a huge amount of confidence. And all this without damaging the atmosphere of this beautiful establishment, with a gorgeous beer garden and excellent menu. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and efficient. Would very much like to visit again.

A true hidden gem. Snuckled down a side road, partially cobbled for authenticity, and hidden amongst terraced houses this proper boozer contains a couple of small rooms separated by a bar area. Obviously a locals local and full of the sort of people who would get asked to leave in any other pub, it makes up for its size with a warm welcome and sheer character. Good selection of ales and a huge backdrop of spirits make for an interesting and worthwhile experience. We visited on 'Vinyl Sunday' where old tunes mixed with the laughter of geezers boasting of their exploits and views on politics. This isn't a millenials local. If this pub ever closes we will have lost a little of something that makes us human. Well worth a visit and my only regret is that it's 40 minutes drive away otherwise I'd be there every night.

A nice traditional pub, with friendly staff, so close to the train station, with some great beers to select from. For people waiting for a train (and those who wish to send them off) this pub is fantastic.

We were staying in the local area and this was a pub I really wanted to visit and we weren't disappointed! Located in a very pretty village - the welcome was warm, the service quick and efficient and the fish and chips were delicious. Generous portions of chunky chips and wonderful fresh fish with a light batter - had no room for the desserts unfortunately! When we next visit the area will certainly return.
