According to the 2012 national census, the region had a population of 1,640,087, which was lower than the pre-census projection of 1,702,207. It was also the eighth most densely populated region with 124 people per square kilometer.

It's a really beautiful gift-shop on a perfect place in Moshi town. Lot of beautiful paintings, jewel's, decorative object like wooden giraffes, elephants etc. Owner Peter is really nice and hearty person. I highly recommend. ♥️ Also they are supporting local womans group who made for example earrings.

If your looking for the good quality souvenirs and art.., art treasure gift shop is well worth visiting for. They have a good collection of art, antiques, souvenirs and much more and also their price is nice with a little sale pressure even when our sales person was with us. Their price was reasonable compare to other galleries we visited in Moshi. Fantastic!!!
