Great paths around the falls- you can even experience the spray on the other side! It does get crowded at times. The path toward the lower waterway is interesting!

Great place even in winter ,tracks cut into snow for easy walking like Lake Louise . Called into the hotel and receptionist told us about the island just a few minutes drive past the Hotel . Beautiful peaceful place ,30 minute stroll round the little island great photo spot

Have been going here for years and lift tickets are overpriced for what you get. I recommend just getting a half day lift ticket for the afternoon. Ski hill closes early like 4:30 - leaves lots of time to head to the local pool in town for a soak in the Hot Tub or enjoy a movie afterward.

Jasper itself is worth the drive for the incredible drive, but being able to have a glimpse of the magnitude of where you are from the top is a highly recommended activity! Wether you continue the climb to the top or find a quiet rock to sit on, you will experience peace... even in the summer! The tram is safe, modern and the trip is short. I recommend booking ahead.

This is a well laid-out attraction, with good parking and a good path to the viewing area, which is just 100 metres / yards from the road. There are a variety of viewing spots, including on the bridge, so if one area is crowded, the others might not be. Not sure if or how carefully the trails are cleared in the winter, so ice grips on the shoes would be a good idea if there's any ice on the path... Of course, falls have an inherent danger if anybody goes outside the fenced areas for any reason, so keep an eye out for any young people who like to goof around...

After paying so much $$$ for the tour and skywalk, my personal recommendation is skip the bus tour and do the ice walk on the glacier instead.
With the bus tour, much time was spent on waiting in line, for ticket, boarding bus, another line outside to get on bus , for take bus back, we were allowed to be spent on the glacier for 15 mins. It was a rip off!
With hiking shoe, walking on the glacier is a lot more intriguing experience on glacier. Wish I had join the ice walk tour instead :(

We hiked Bald Hills loop at the beginning of July and did that classical shortcut up – fire road down way. Shortcut is much steeper, but has wonderful views and makes the hike shorter. We had the hike preplanned on ViewRanger and used that for finding the trail, but you really can’t miss the shortcut as it is clearly marked on the left side of the fire road (after a left curve).
Some facts:
Who hiked: Family with fit teenagers, 14 and 17 years old and moderately fit adults, 45 and 55 years old. We, adults, do not work out in the gym but walk 5-10 km (3-6 miles) daily, often doing longer walks during the weekends. Hubby has a pacemaker and has had four open heart surgeries (latest one five years ago), but can hike as long as he does it in his own pace.
Hike (data from ViewRanger app): 13.7 km (8.5 miles) with 755 m (2477 ft.) elevation gain. Total time used (including lunch stop at the meadows, cookie stop on the highest top of Bald Hills and lots of photo stops): 5 hours.
After reaching the meadows, we did the loop clockwise, climbing up to the top of Bald Hills from the far end of the meadows. We saw several marmots and many Columbian ground squirrels, but not many people; most of the hikers climbed up Bald Hills and did not spend time on the meadows. Hike (or, more like walk) over the meadows is definitely worth it, with all animals and wildflowers along the trail!

Well, we were very excited that we will be seeing a Planetarium and some nice stars and history. We were 4 families with kids. All excited. First of all this is in a tent show and then outside on a telescope.
Small tent where you go in and we all slept. May be 3-4 we’re awake. Horrible show. Then you come outside and see some stars. Please go to your local town science museum and you will have a better experience than this private company and many be tied up to the hotel whose backyard parking lot gets used for it. Yes parking area.... where you will stand and wait your turn to get to telescope.
What a joke....

The building itself has a neat appearance and is a perfect fit for the area. Inside there are a few interpretive displays and a small gift shop. Unfortunately, the young Parks Canada girl working there must have been new to the job, because she really didn't seem to know much about the area, beyond what we were looking at on the map. As such, she just wasn't very helpful...
