What to do and see in Islington, England: The Best Fun Activities & Games

April 22, 2022 Esmeralda Fenner

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Played this game with a group of friends and family over video call for a birthday. It was great fun! Very clever and well thought out clues to follow and we enjoyed the different ways to interact with the game from home. I would definitely recommend.

We were a group of 6 family members of various ages. Everyone played a part and what was good was that different people showed different ways of looking at a problem. We escaped with 4 mins 52 seconds to spare!! Miguel introduced the game to us and was impressed by our teamwork and we were impressed by his enthusiasm.

We weren’t sure what to expect of Enigma Escape, and had never done an escape room before. We had a great evening - really good story to the challenge, a good level of difficulty (with hints for when we needed them!), and good fun. Sam was a great host. We did The Killer - would recommend.

Mind The Game

Why are we different? Our game was specially designed for couples and teams up to a maximum of 5 people. Mind The Game offers a unique escape room game experience whereby Teams of 2-5 people need to get out of a Professors study within 60 minutes by solving puzzles, riddles, hints and mysteries. It requires observation, teamwork, creativity, communication and courage. An excellent team-building exercise or a fun activity for couples, families and friends.

Had a fantastic experience playing this escape room. Expert communication and patience is required, and the room is challenging - we needed some hints! Designed beautifully in a vintage style, also interesting types of clues which we hadn't seen before. You can tell just how much thought and effort has gone in conception, design and execution. I highly recommend this for couples, friends, colleagues and families. Support this small business and go to Mind the Game! They're so passionate about it, and it shows.

Handmade Mysteries - Poppa Plock's Wonky Workshop

With twisted key, you and your team will enter Poppa Plock’s wonky workshop. Guided by Plock’s outrageous ventriloquist dummy and demented dolls, the pressure is on to solve the mystery and complete his penultimate creation. If you fail, you’re doomed to remain in this wind-up world forever. Poppa Plock's Wonky Workshop is a one hour game for teams of up to six players aged 18 and over.

Reviewed By Thidara10 - London, United Kingdom

We went to the Ploppa Block's escape room on a Saturday afternoon as 6 of us and had a brilliant time! Our host was called Liam who was full of life and character and made the scenario great fun with his booming voice. The escape room was situated between a quirky theatre and The Depot bar and a short walk away from Caledonian Rd Station. The puzzles and clues came with an element of darkness which was challenging at times and we managed to escape with just 1min and 30 seconds to spare. Handmade mysteries is head and shoulders above a lot of escape rooms as the host is great and the theme was different to others we had done before.
