Mettam's Pool

Reviewed By KylieIsTravelling - Perth, Australia

My impression of Mettam's Pool from Reading reviews was completely different to what I experienced - there are signposts that the pool has submerged rocks and strong currents, and is a very small beach. Narrow and not deep in relation to sand on the beach.
And watch out for blue bottles on the beach.
Its not one of the biggest in Perth, but it's a nice beach. Not as nice as Scarborough.

Kings Park & Botanic Garden

The park cultivates over 13,000 species of Western Australian plants and contains one of the world's largest areas of natural bush land close to a city.

Reviewed By cliffordchambers - Europe

What an immaculately maintained park! You are greeted by a beautiful avenue of majestic trees, a fantastic view of the Central Business District and the large stretch of water to the east and south. There are many walkways and if you stray away from the well trodden paths and go west, you can stroll in a quieter atmosphere and walk many small paths without seeing anyone. There are also quantities of birds in the park, but beware, one of the tried to steal my Sandwich as I was eating it!
The park is a credit to the city of Perth and to the civic responsibility of its citizens.

Westfield Innaloo

Westfield Innaloo is an iconic shopping destination, with the latest from the world's leading retail brands.

Reviewed By PAC6017 - Perth, Australia

Have been shopping at this location since 1980, well before Westfield developed the site.
It has been redeveloped and modernised a few times since then.
There are plans to greatly expand in the next 12 months or so will have new restaurants, plaza's and a cinema complex.
Other reviewers have covered the current tenants, I enjoy coffee before or after shopping - there are many to choose from.
Last Sunday I enjoyed a coffee and muffin at Gloria Jeans before shopping at Woolworths.
This is a good mall with plenty of parking which makes for easy access.
If you are near Innaloo this is a good mall to shop at.

Lake Monger

Reviewed By Chizzel - Perth, Australia

I have been coming here for many years, initially for romantic strolls with the girlfriend then progressed to showing the kids the black swans and ducks and now just for a peaceful strolls around the lake.
This has progressive become a more family friendly area with decent walking paths that go right around the lake with bird shelters / gazebos to stop and watch the wildlife.
It's right alongside the mitchell freeway and many parking spots.
Always a great free entertainment.

This is the second time I have been to one or Riki's cooking classes at The Cooking Professor and I was not disappointed. Riki gives you helpful tips for cooking throughout the class and shows you how to do it. She is excited about her food and the class takes place within a supportive and lively environment. Great facilitaties and great to sit down with the group to enjoy the meal at the end of class. Would not hesitate to recommend for beginners to advanced cooks for a fun night out - everyone is guaranteed to learn something and enjoy.

Can't wait for the next room!

Staying in the West with my son, Peter, and family last March, I thought a day ride together would be in order. So I hunted online for a local bike hirer. Found WCMH had some attractive bikes and although I couldn't nail the one I first wanted went with their Triumph Speed Triple. I'd always liked these models and this was an ideal opportunity to have a crack on one. Accordingly, David at WCMH handled my booking efficiently, enabling me to pick it up the night before so that Pete and I could get a good day's riding in. We duly set off the next morning, Pete on his R1200GSSE and me on the WCMH Triumph. It was a great run through some outstanding backroads, in fabulous country and in great weather. As it was, we were hustling to get the Triumph back by the 5:00 PM deadline due to Perth traffic etc. So, in summary, the Triumph Speed Triple met all my expectations of it and didn't miss a beat. I'd highly recommend WCMH if you find yourself looking to hire a motorcycle over in Perth. I'll be looking them up again next time I'm over there and feel like getting out on a bike.
